I had no idea this was such a fully featured EG, or that my "Deviator" knob setting was basically cancelling out what I was trying to do! This will work great for feeding moving signals into my FM synths, in addition to it's usual purpose. I don't know much about modular, despite owning a nice setup: I got it a few years back just months before my youngest son was diagnosed with a rare and ultimately fatal brain tumor so I was a little distracted. Now I have so much catch-up to do, so videos like this really help me. So many Eurorack videos are by people who really only seem to own, not understand, their modules, so getting a clear explanation coupled with nice demonstrations of each feature and function is great. The other Eurorack TH-cam videos are like so advanced and expert-oriented that it's daunting! This is a great overview and I will subscribe now on the strength of this video alone. I am eager to keep learning! Like I see you have a Morphagene video: I'd love that module, but I can't really splurge on new stuff. But there's some modes in my Disting MK4 that could replicate *some* of the features.
Hi Troy, thank you very much for your comment, I really appreciate and I´m happy i could help a bit. always trying to keep it as basic as possible. greetings
I did not know that it works fine with triggers to at least shoot AD/AR. I was pretty unsure about it, so I never got it although I would now even tolerate having 4 of them.
Hey so I know this video is a year old but any help would be appreciated. I just bought a tiptop z4000 and it worked for the 1st couple of days. But now the shoot light is always lit and regardless the envelope setting (ADSR) I just get a relentless buzz as if patched directly into the osc. Wtf is going on.
I been trying to do what Skrillex does but I’m not even close to doing what he does. Instead I watch modular videos to learn how an envelope is supposed to be used.

you probably have the deviater sending too much voltage, try to turn it to 12 o´clock position.
Thats a dense review for something so uncommon to everyday people like me. Where can I learn more?
about what - filters, eurorack or modular synthesis in general?
@@DominikVogelModular i want to learn more beginner eurorack stuff lol
