Thank you man, I'm sure this is common knowledge to others but it's my first time using these types of blades and was struggling to understand how to do it. Cheers!
WOW.. I am so embarrassed to say I didn't know this is how it worked. I was going about this all kinds of wrong. Thank you for posting this video (even if it was 7 years ago!).
Thank you for this. I've had the same box cutter for a couple of years now and I know the blade was supposed to snap off but I never could get it to. I was just going to keep using it until it wouldn't cut anymore and it was about to that point. I had no idea the end had that groove in it but it did the trick.
Well i never knew that, originally i thought the part you take off to snap the blade was the knives front end where the blade came out, it hurt when the blade came out the other end into the palm of my hand, oh well you learn something everyday, thank you.
Never knew this until today 😅 Just bought a boxcutter and saw you're supposed to extend only one section out while using it written on the back of the box. I wondered why there are sections and here I am
I've been using such hobby knives for years and never knew the trick! Until your video, I've been using a needle nose pliers! (silly me!) ;) Cheers, mate!
Thank you so much I thought maybe the grooves we're to snap off a piece wasn't sure tho but the plastic piece in the end I had no clue about thanks for the video
Thanks for the advise, typically I seem to have the only blade in production that doesn't have this slot. But thanks anyway I'm sure it will come in useful in the future 😊
I was struggling so much, I even thought that maybe my blade couldn't do that. Since it's a cheap one I thought maybe it just had the lines for decoration. I feel so dumb realising how easy it is
This is the type of tutorial we need for everything! No promoting, no bs, just pure advice and kindness, thank you
Exactly what I was thinking. I found this video on google, but had to go over to youtube to give the video a like!
Thank you man, I'm sure this is common knowledge to others but it's my first time using these types of blades and was struggling to understand how to do it. Cheers!
Not common knowledge for me either. But it is now. When you know better you do better. 👍
I just watched two other videos telling me to use pliers, and here you come show me the right way. Thank you.
My wife came up to me just now to do this for her. I had no idea these were a thing. And then I hear this wonderful accent.
Thank you for posting this and being so nice about it 😊 blades make me nervous, so to know this is nice and easy is greatly appreciated!
I didn't even realise the blades snapped off - I thought the lines were decorative!!! The information in this video has transformed my life, haha.

Thanks my guy. It seems so obvious now lol
This did not work. It broke the black plastic piece on my knife.
