Did you see what they did with Corey and Michael's backstories? Michael was a little boy that killed his babysitter *on purpose* and Corey was a babysitter that killed the little boy he was watching *on accident*. Did you notice how the people of Haddonfield talk about Michael like he's some mentally ill dude and a victim (He is, to be fair) and they talk about Corey (an isolated guy with obvious PTSD) like he's ... got evil eyes? Tell me you saw how Margo was trapped by her friends' actions, helpless. Able only to watch as Terry spits fire. The above should all be read in a bitter, sarcastic voice. YES THANK YOU!! Despite of Michael Myers being my all time favorite slasher horror movie character it was time to put the boogeyman to rest! I feel bad for Michael. Here we had a 'man' who dedicated every second of his life to his one true passion. He was the best there ever was in his field. To those saying the fight should've been longer just remember it was supposed to be a street fight, not a movie fight, and street fights are short and raw with no seasoning. Micheal Myers and Laurie Strode arent martial arists, they are Haddonfield residents
Honestlyj as divisive as this movie is, I can't help but love it. It's got a fair share of problems sure (Corey's introduction is a little jarring), but I appreciate it as a cerebral, strange end to this wonderful saga. It's not a bombastic end, rather a somber one about how Michael is nothing more than an old man who's body is finally taking a toll on him. We've seen an explosive end already with Halloween 2, so I'm honestly happy it ended in this out of pocket way. Michael is like a dying star. He burned the brightest in Kills because he was at the peak of his spree, but after he burned out he could never fully regain that raw power. If you dislike the movie, that's entirely fair, but don't go into random youtube comments sections to tell people they're wrong for liking something. I'm just here to chip in my two cents as to what I got out of the movie. DGG may make mistakes, but he made my favorite Halloween saga that I hold so close to my heart.
thats the problem though. everything that happened in Ends should have happened in the prior films. Laurie should have been housewive during during the years michaal was in captivity. As least she knew he was captured. It makes no sense to become suzy homemaker after her daughter is killed ands he vanishes. Knowing he was out there should have been when she trained. Also, you cant take michael, who survived a mob beatdown, and then turn him into some weak dude that gets owned by a half sized emo guy. The final fight lasted 3 minutes. it was a let down. If the final fight was something like we got in Halloween 2018 people would be happy. The corey subplot should have been introduced in Halloween 2018. Copycat killers rarely work out unless you have a payoff. If they used corey in 2018 you could have ended that film with the real michael escaping, tricking the audience into who was really doing the killings and then at least you know you would have had the final 2 movies be straight laurie vs michael.
