The more you listen to Yesudas songs the more you learn from it. This genius was light years ahead of most other singing mortals. Even today nobody can reproduce this level of singing awareness in such a fluent manner and his 'brigas' and nuances are ASURA level .. let's not even go there! One might sound a bit close with heaps of practice, BUT yet will sound so far away!!

Why we don't have such beautifull movies now...i saw this movie and just love it. We don't have such humble people now. What good times our grandparents used to live in ....away from all politic minded people and city's hush-bush. I love Yessudas ji...Amol Palekar ji...and this movie. While working in a Bank branch some two hours away from my place, a couple of years ago, I used to commute by a particular bus. One morning I chanced upon this song in the bus audio which rekindled in me my old village days, my lost love from college days. Memories came flooding back and I made a mention of the song to the bus driver, an affable, young guy.
From then on, the moment I board the bus, he'd play the song, and, safely perched in my side seat, killing the monotony of the same scenes, drudgery of repeat of the same journeys, closing the eyes, I would launch myself into a dream world where me and the song alone would be!
The special thing about this one of a kind song is that no matter the number of times you hear it, on loop or otherwise, you never get a fill of it, with each time the song appealing to a different sense of your being, presenting before you a new world, imparting a new shade of meaning to life, soaking you in old memories, making you want to go back to those good old days once again when love first bloomed in you and your world revolved around that comely person, when the world was such lovely!

Its hard to judge who is the best.Rafi?Mukesh?Kishore? or Yesudas?Yesudas got unhique melodious voice and complete control on rydhem.He did,nt sung much for hindi movies(although he sung too much for south and other languages) that is the reason hindi or urdu speaking people (majority in north India orPakistan) r unaware of his level and majority give more credit to Rafi ji and Kishore ji.Honestly and technically he is the best singer of India and won prime awards from Indian govt which others could,nt and I believe he is well desereved for them.
