The fact that Eris was the one to discipline the kids is hilarious

Sieg seems like the only child who truly looks up to and adores his father..
The others seemed burdened by his status and believe they're not good in his eyes.
Hell, the last chapter of redundancy broke me. Lara was just like: "I'm going on a journey and I'll probably never see papa and red mama again... Bye."

For me it was Lara in rudeus death chapter. If you connect the pieces, Lara back then went on a journey to fulfill her mission which also had something to do with nanahoshi's friend. She never returned home since then, at least until rudeus died.
And after they finally succeeded in defeating hitogami, she saw rudeus spirit in the white space, who she hadn't seen since then and she along with everyone else on that battlefield thanked him. You could feel the respect and appreciation she holds towards him even though she didn't show anything like that while he was alive. You could feel the fruits of all his efforts, of all the work he did for that day and the way he raised his children manifest. It really felt like a " rudeus learned to walk so that everyone in the future could run" moment and everyone respected him for it

@@solarium4884sorry but not, Lara come back several decades after rudeus dead. When he was 18 year old, start with the "80 year in the future Laplace will come back so join me in the fight" thing, then he dies 56-66 year later, so Lara back almost 14-24 years after rudeus dead. Just the necessary time for that little girl become a teenager/young adult.

That's such a jarring time jump between chapters 1 and 2 like... yeah very strange choice by the author. And lol a person can tie their brain in knots trying to keep track of every Greyrat kiddo, I guess the whole story he WAS telling us he planned to make a whole tribe and damned if he didn't.

LOVE Zeke, and now the title makes sense. Oblige is a French term referring to the "obligation" that the noble class have to help out the poorer folk. and Oh man, this reading program ain't half bad but damn if it ain't cringe somehow every time I hear it try to pronounce the Japanese
-kun. Oh well lol, nothing's perfect and I'm still grateful.

Why is he called zeke? I thought his name was Sieg

Probably the translators being lazy, his name is Sieghart(fried), but most likely in Japanese its written as zekehartu or something like that.
