That is the difference of the Filipino firemen from other countries. You will see a lot of firemen because not all of them are given assignments by the Ground Commander. He will assign those nearest to the fire to combat the fire whiĺe the rest, those who are farthest are assigned to supply water via water relay ( firetruck to firetruck).

@@dugaldjohnston688 you see, our government's fire department isn't that well funded. So we rely on self-funded/privately funded fire volunteers to fill the void caused by the lack of budget. This in turn introduces another problem, organizing dozens, if not hundreds, of independent fire volunteers becomes a nightmare (as shown in this video) Edit: Another thing I want to add is because most of these fire volunteers are self funded, equipments may vary. Some have a simple firetruck, some fire gear and that's all; while others have firetrucks which costs millions and complete PPEs. Ps: I'm not a fire fighter or a government official in any way, these are just my opinion based from observations.

Thanks so much for putting this video up, really shows the difference against those in wealthy countries and the resources available. As for the comments on someone being in charge, there must have been at least some semblance of command as the alarm level was being raised so that decision was being made by someone and communicated to all brigades.

During fire incidents, not all firemen are assigned to hold the hose and fìght the fire. There are other assignments given to other fire personnel. There's the water supply personnel, the Rescue and Relief mostly from the rescue service of the BFP, crowd control plus many more.

Volunteers are picked up along the way and ride on top. As you can see, most of the trucks are there to supply water to those at the front. Lack of good water supply is always a problem there.

Our team RFV has been self supporting eversince and thru the help of people around us, we always kept moving forward. To be honest, first time din namin mag fundraising hehe. Pero isa sa mga vital info na mabibigay ko is start kayo sa mismong area ninyo kasi sila ang magiging AOR ninyo if magkaroon kayo ng fire truck. Im sure marami jan tutulong kasi alam nila kahalagahan nun na mabibigay sa safety ng community ninyo.
There may be insufficient money to form proper fire departments, but they appear to afford hoses. I've never seen so many trucks and so many lines squirting in all directions and so many civilians milling around. How do the various entities retrieve their hoses, or do they just grab enough to fill their trucks? This was the first fire video where the actual blaze was almost never seen. I do credit the presence of tank trucks that I suppose contained water.
22:50 Why not some fire apparatus support some lines only e.g. one apparatus two lines and all other tanker supports this apparatus only? Why every apparatus use own lines to this fire? If they empty they can change way back to next hydrant and come back easy. One pic show big river in near - why not use this as water supply with your pumper? Do you known the Japanese military style small fire engines with long line support with extra cars? They are exactly for small ways how do you have in Manila city and around.
Why there are no law enforcement coordinating the massive crowds that are almost impeding the firefighters to tackle the burning structures,it’s so chaotic that no one is visible to tell the crowds to evacuate the scene for their safety,it’s unbelievable.
Usually in cases like these, the BFP handle those things. However, there are some residents that stay within the fire scene because of their emotions in saving their homes. In some cases, they can be helpful since they know the place better than us, providing insights and passageways for us to attack.

firefighter are always assigned in different task like Attack Unit, Water Unit , Hose Unit but this needs a propper incident command structure..
and don't forget: search for victims, locate the fire & cut the fuse. If necessary, the main officer may need to request additional unit(s)

The people on top of our truck are our own volunteer firefighters. We rarely let other people riding on top of our unit due to safety concerns.

To be honest, first time din namin mag fundraising hehe. Pero isa sa mga vital info na mabibigay ko is start kayo sa mismong area ninyo kasi sila ang magiging AOR ninyo if magkaroon kayo ng fire truck. Im sure marami jan tutulong kasi alam nila kahalagahan nun na mabibigay sa safety ng community ninyo.

There may be insufficient money to form proper fire departments, but they appear to afford hoses. I've never seen so many trucks and so many lines squirting in all directions and so many civilians milling around. How do the various entities retrieve their hoses, or do they just grab enough to fill their trucks? This was the first fire video where the actual blaze was almost never seen. I do credit the presence of tank trucks that I suppose contained water.

22:50 Why not some fire apparatus support some lines only e.g. one apparatus two lines and all other tanker supports this apparatus only? Why every apparatus use own lines to this fire? If they empty they can change way back to next hydrant and come back easy.

Why there are no law enforcement coordinating the massive crowds that are almost impeding the firefighters to tackle the burning structures,it’s so chaotic that no one is visible to tell the crowds to evacuate the scene for their safety,it’s unbelievable.
Usually in cases like these, the BFP handle those things. However, there are some residents that stay within the fire scene because of their emotions in saving their homes. In some cases, they can be helpful since they know the place better than us, providing insights and passageways for us to attack.
