I actually laughed out loud throughout this film. Its soooooooooo bad its funny. Coming from a lover of Chinese cinema, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Yuen Wo Ping, Tsui Hark. Go see Wu Xia. Now thats an amazing chinese film.
tsui hark had a good reason why he wanted to do the continuation of the story that he left out 96 film. he should start using rope again like he's done for the past 20 years in HK movie industry. this time, given it more creative and authentic towards the previous predecessor film rather than relying on cgi special effect. by the looks of it, it seems fake. instead of overdoing it, it should look more realistic when they're flying. the old school trick of invisible wire. where's that at?

Jet Li needs to stop playing with 3D and special effects, china is up to that level yet when it comes to special effects to some films stop playing with it.
This was a great movie! The best usage of 3D I've seen in a long time! :) proud to be Asian.
