It is three years after the infamous Dragon Inn was burnt down in the desert. The inn is the rumoured location of a lost city buried under the desert, and its hidden treasure would only be revealed by a mighty storm every sixty years. Now, the storm is coming…and the situation becomes more complicated when a pregnant concubine who escaped from the palace comes to the inn. The concubine was saved by a mysterious woman and the two fled to the Dragon Inn…but hot on their trail is the Imperial Assassins led by the powerful eunuch Yu followed by the righteous general Zhao (international action star JET LI), who is determined to take down Yu to restore order to the palace.
This was a great movie! The best usage of 3D I've seen in a long time! :) proud to be Asian.

I actually laughed out loud throughout this film. Its soooooooooo bad its funny. Coming from a lover of Chinese cinema, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Yuen Wo Ping, Tsui Hark.
Go see Wu Xia. Now thats an amazing chinese film.

tsui hark had a good reason why he wanted to do the continuation of the story that he left out 96 film. he should start using rope again like he's done for the past 20 years in HK movie industry. this time, given it more creative and authentic towards the previous predecessor film rather than relying on cgi special effect. by the looks of it, it seems fake. instead of overdoing it, it should look more realistic when they're flying. the old school trick of invisible wire. where's that at?

Yes I hear that a lot with CGI and not just for this movie but for many Hong Kong/Chinese movies: the CGI effects don't look realistic.
