In this video I tried to show you all of the famous movie/cartoon (sometimes TV series) references that I have managed to find in The Amazing World of Gumball (season 1) as their tribute to cinema.
I had to change some music parts to the ones from TH-cam Audio Library so that my video wouldn't be blocked and you could watch it. Thank you for understanding.

As a child who grew up with this show that grew up into a film buff this just gives me more reason to keep rewatching this show.
It's great in reverse, too. I grew up in the 90's-00's and think the show is great. Especially for a supposed "kid's show". Seems like more Cartoons are more than random one offs now, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, OK KO, etc, but this is a good melding of having some story and no point at all while being loaded with references.
Kinda reminds me of a kids Chuck in a way. In that they pay homage to a lot of nerd culture, most of all. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it. You can use 123movies or putlocker, idk any streaming service who currently has it up.
When you can watch gumball tho? I want to fully watch the season man. I only watch some of the clips in youtube

There's a lot of references on Gumball. After I watched 2001: A Space Oddysey I notices it have a reference on this movie too. After that I'm here. Thanks for the showing all references, I admit it there's way more than I thought but references are placed too well so its very fun to watch and understand the references.

@@ABlueyFan No not really. Both of them are jerks on my opinion. Eddy's brother is rude to Eddy , and Sarah is just a spoiled brat all together, who pretty much bullies Ed, probably because she is the youngest of the two.

so that's why im so nostalgic when watching gumball, its like i know or felt that its referencing to something but i dont want to think about it back then and just laugh all the time, but sometimes my parents and siblings asked me why did i laugh.... to them its not that funny. i was 11 at the time if im not wrong, i grew up with a lot of popculture influence, im so in awe right now.

In the episode “the secret” gumball calls darwin from a telephone booth, to try to figure out his secret. It doesn’t work, and gumball tries to destroy the phone booth. This is a reference to a scene in the movie goodfellas, where jimmy destroys a phone booth because one of his friends had died.
