Great video. I hope that the Red Penguin Tetra becomes more widespread.
Beautiful new finds Oliver, especially that red fin penguin . I truly hope that they can all be made readily available worldwide.
Although a few more species are being imported here in Trinidad, the cost is outrageous; imagine a single neon tetra at $25 or a Harlequin Rasbora at $60. Ridiculous !!
Another superb collection of tetras. Although a lot of my past fishkeeping experience has been with dwarf cichlids, I have kept tetras with them as dither fish and tank companions. I really appreciate the small tetras and videos like this make me wish I could devote more tank space to them. Thank you, Oliver, for bringing these little gems to our attention. I look forward to your video regarding the ecological impact of agriculture on tetra habitats.
Great Video! Your contributions not only to aquarists but to science are truly invaluable! I love the red pencil fish and the red penguin tetras! lovely fish!
Yes I enjoy the video 📹
Wow thanks for sharing! AWESOME!!! Loved the Pencils and that last Red Penguin Tetra!! Keep them coming!!
Very intersting...a Lot of informativo, Very good
Obrigado!
thank...
Wow!!! Just WOW!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍I want them all!!! Thanks for the video. Keep them coming. 👍
Just binge watched all 4 "new Tetra" video's and I loved them all! super informative, great footage and very entertaining for true fish lovers! keep them coming sir!
thank you!
Love what you are Teaching and Filming
Once again you surpassed my expectations. We are so fortunate to still have new species being discovered and presented in your amazing videos. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing.
So nice of you, thank you
Thank you. 💚
Well done mate! Keep up the good work!
Thank you for nice video.
so cool

Very interesting
the red penguin tetras are fire!
I hope I can find some over here, new tetras!
Whoow 👍
Nice vijeo...
I love these small fish in my tank, I fell asleep on Tetras, I kept cichlids, now I mix them with small cichlids in my community tank, and they are BOSS, I have a small Danio, I was worried about it being so small, but now he is chasing the others around the tank, AMAZING
It is actually quite challenging to find the right tetras to keep with a given cichlid species. Cichlids can be overfed much more easily than the tetras.
Red penguin! Pretty!
yes, it is a fantastic fish!
👀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Manny tanks fore info, Hypessobrycon Wadai do you think its works not easy to find rare tetras
like Red phantom tetra , and middel water fish any ide.
I wish there was more footage of galeocharax humeralis they have a very unique body shape and it would be interesting to learn how they act and their behavior. Hope you can get some footage.
I have not imported Galeocharax in years and never shot any video, they behave the same as any Charax spp. - not very friendly towards each other or other fish and not really a "tetra" in that sense.
1:40 I have those!!!, i guess i'm lucky living in Peru
You really are! Wish I could keep these, but I expect new species such as these won't be in my local fish shops for a few years to come.
Cool! One of the benefits of living in a country where ornamental fish are obtained from is that rare fish can just appear anywhere if you look hard enough.
Is Tyttocharax sp. Calamar captive breedable? The fish seems has a good potential for nano tanks.
i would think so, Trochilocharax ornatus is another one... just very small fish.
Hallo i need little god info i am starting a aqvarium andwant Nannostomus Beckfordi ,what els tetra fits together nice.
I think any Hyphessobrycon will be fine with them.
witch tera livs in same area as the Beckfordi, and i also like apistogamma maby beanshi ore trifasiata
we collected many Nanostomus marginatus in the same place as A.baenschi. A.trifasciata is the other side, not in the Amazon. You would find H.eques, H.ulreyi there.
Shall i have slow wather och put in whith little more flow?
always more flow is better, as algae eater i would just add Ancistrus
Its not Hyphessobrycon comodoro, but rather a new species closely related to Hyphessobrycon melanostichos 🙂
yes, i did not know at the time, so many species in that group!
Yooo what are the tetra's in the intro?!
Do I see ruby tetras?
They seem a bit big no?
the intro has Aphycharax rathbuni, Hyphessobrycon eques, Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae and several others. No runy tetras there, it is too far south.
@@belowwater Thank you for the reply! I'm looking into the different types of axelrodia and I was sold a type that has no ruby spot on the tail fin.
Also one in particular is 3x the size of the others 5cm~ so I'm curious what it could be...similar to the arowana tetra with just the jaw part being different...Any help would be great!
Appreciate your work sir♡
@@GHOST-vm5vk that can't be Axelrodia they do not get that big, there are only 2 in the hobby, one is the very cheap and small one from Colombia, the other is the true A.stigmatis, it is in our tetra guide 5: th-cam.com/video/e4G8fnRKzJI/w-d-xo.html. You can send me a picture by Facebook or email from belowwater.com I will try to let you know what it is.
Do you export fish ?
yes, otherwise impossible to get some of these species.
The 'habitat of the new red pencils' link doesn't work - such a shame. Any chance this can be investigated, please 🙏
it, should, if not go to the channel videos, it is only 6 videos back, from May: th-cam.com/video/OL1PT_jYUck/w-d-xo.html
@@belowwater I clicked they link in your reply. It worked 😃
Love everything you product. Thank you so much.
@@Paul-li9hq thank you!
$50 for the red pengu tetra a good deal?
yes, it's a really good price for this fish.
@belowwater awesome ima buy 6 of them. Boxing day deal today 25% off.
I got 12 of them. xD@@belowwater
The sateremawe is a misindentification... its probably Hy. cf. eschwartzae.
yes, i think you are right, the location would be correct, but the bar is not quite broad enough!
