I love that you show the highs and the lows. So many others I've seen don't show the down times where everything sucks and how something as simple as the tiniest kind encouragement can completely flip your mood.

So you've been charging through snow and creeks and rivers since the Sierras. Your feet must be soaked? What's your strategy for keeping them dry or for drying them out. That must make hiking miserable?
Have a spare pair of dry socks. Always keep a pair dry. At lunch stop and try to dry your feet, but always keep a dry pair for sleep. Hopefully by the next morning the wet pair is mostly dry and can finish drying on the back of your pack in the sun🙌🏻
Don't be too into your alarm clock I think your body wakes you up when you are rested for your muscle repair and whatnot. I understand getting up for snow. Obviously you're done but I just mean on your next one.
My gear worked great! I had a zero degree enigma quilt from Enlightened Equipment and an Xtherm sleeping pad by Thermarest. It was hard to get out of bed sometimes because I was so warm 😂🙌🏻

It’s a pack towel and mace. Because I traveled alone, mostly on the trail I carried that with me.

While watching this I realized that the 2023 California part of the PCT has a huge amount of snow.

It was difficult, but we relied on offline navigation with the application called FarOut.

I wish there were places where you could, on purpose, slide down the snowy trail on your backside. That could be fun.
There were several places where you could and I did! Many times it was icy though and that just doesn’t feel good😂
