- Safety officer is responsible for ensuring a company’s environmental, health and safety policies & systems. His duties start from conducting routine workplace safety inspections to identify potential hazards, advising and supporting other functions on safety-related issues, Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures, Incident Investigations, conducting mock drills, maintaining various Fire & Safety systems in a company.

Please explain differences between safety officer, HSE officer,safety supervisor,safety engineer. Your videos are very informative for me on Tamil.. First Tamil HSE channel in you tube.. Please continue because lot of channels are in other language

Safety - you take care of safety only and occupational health aspects
EHS, HSE, SHE - You additionally take care of environment.
Safety steward - Safety assistants, generally people with no formal safety qualification or little qualification
Safety supervisor - A supervisory level position either with diploma or degree with a minimal safety qualification
Safety officer- Same as Supervisor but either having approved safety diploma in India or NEBOSH IGC in gulf countries
Safety Engineer - Personnel having only engineering background either Diploma, BE or ME

Dear Friend, I understand your frustration. But please note this is not only for Safety officers... any job, it is difficult for the fresher initially. When I completed my BE, I had no job for 2 years in spite of my best efforts. Pl. be patient and keep trying and accept even small jobs. You will get, though delayed... be confident and improve your skills and contacts. Keep in touch with good friends who might help you

Hi sir your videos are very useful. I have some doubts. For fresher how to enter into safety related jobs. I have completed BE mech 2014 batch & then I did MBA. worked for 2 years in sales. Then i got a offer as PTW coordinator in Gulf fresher job. Due to covid issue i not able to join the job... now iam interest in safety jobs so please guide me sir.. weather i want to do any safety couses like Nebosh or ME Industrial safety or Diploma safety programs... how to enter into safety department sir.
If you are aiming for Gulf go for NEBOSH IGC.
If you plan for local jobs you can apply for ME Safety. There are atleast 20 colleges in Tamilnadu offering this course.

You can do NEBOSH IGC now or during work. If you join in Oil& gas sector you will get good exposure. Even if you work with good construction companies experience is OK

Thanks for the suggestion. There are plenty of TH-cam channels available in English however very few channels available in local language. My focus is to teach in simple Tamil language.
