I've had my Zoeller 53 in my crawl space sump pit for 12 years now...still going strong. I recently called Zoeller and asked if it may be time to replace but they said no reason to unless it was not working properly or making unusual noises. They saved me $200.
Will the M53 be ok to use for my application? Approximately 2' lift, and around 140' of discharge pipe. Will only be active during heavy rains here in Houston.
Yes, it should work great. You can buy it here: www.rcworst.com/Zoeller-53-0001-Model-M53-Sump-Effluent-Pump-0-33-HP-115V-1PH-9-Cord-Automatic-p4488.html
I believe so, but you still need to drill one in the discharge piping under the check valve. Check out our video on drilling a vent hole for more info.
The M53 is a good pump but has a plastic impeller. The. N63 with level guard water switch even better with a iron impeller. Be aware while Zoeller are tanks - they got the amp draw to go with it- which your circuit breaker
Does the m-53 and m-95 use the same float ?

Zoeller n53 and a levelguard switch, zero issues in 8 years and my pumps run, from October to May at approx 240,000 activations...

Yes, hello, I can no longer see the serial number on the plate at the top of my pump to determine how old it is, any advice?
future shock IF you guess it’s 7- 10 years - replace it
Good job. I am in the market for a sump pump, can you help me pick between the m53 series or the Wayne CDU980E thanks
M53 is the better choice.
Thank you
N63 with a level guard switch will be even better.
Great pump. Nice review.
