I can strum most of the normal chords on a guitar so my questions pertains to the correlation between a ukulele and guitar. If I strum a "G" on my guitar and you strum a "G" on your uke, assuming both are correctly tuned, will they be the same? If I used the same keys on a guitar that you are using in this song "Buttercup" would it work? My experience with other good guitar players (I'm not so good) is they say "key of "G" which would be G, C, & D cords. Would the same apply to a ukulele? Would it be a simple thing to accompany a guitar with a ukulele and vica a versa? Tks for the great videos. I posted this same question to another channel but no reply yet.

Do you have a tutorial for singing while playing? I'm not half bad a singer, just got a uke recently but I've played acoustic guitar for years, but nonetheless I've never been able to play an instrument and sing simultaneously.

Could someone please offer some advice? I strum primarily with my thumb but I have gotten huge callouses on my thumb twice so far. I play my ukulele often, sometimes practically all day, which might explain it, but it's getting in the way of playing. Each time, I have allowed my thumb to heal before playing with it again. I've learned how to strum with my index finger when needed but I really prefer strumming with my thumb. The pics my friend made for me to strum with are very quiet and I like to play loudly. What do I do? Will my thumb eventually get used to it?

Yo! I currently own a cheapish soprano ukulele and I need an upgrade. I've chosen a Tenor, but stuck on a brand. I don't want to go super expensive just yet, but not cheap either. Any suggestions?
Hate to break it to you... But if you want a tenor, it's going to be a bit expensive. If you want a good quality soprano, though, get a Kala KA 15s or a Kala KA S
