- During a routine traffic stop, an officer catches a man throwing away drugs right in front of him. The failed attempt to dispose of the drugs leads to his arrest. Meanwhile a foot chase ensues as officers run after a fleeing burglary suspect. Elsewhere a man gives late night patrol officers a fake name and claims he goes by "John Smith".
Real-life officers are followed by a camera crew, cinéma-vérité style, in a gritty up-close look at police work and the consequences of crime. It spawned a number of police-reality imitators.

Surprisingly the felon was right lol. Apparently the Supreme Court says a warrant for arrest felony or otherwise doesnit stand in for a search warrant inside homes. That’s a seperate warrant issued by a judge residing or working with the police lol. So they basically needed a search warrant to break in and go inside the home.

That one big dude knew his rights. If they have a search warrant for a person they can only apprehend that person. They can’t look for anything else(in places the person cannot be hiding, drawers, inside of bags..ect) and once they find the person the warrant has been competed.

I wish jails would let people that have served time in jail come in and talk to the inmates about how they've turned their lives around. Don't give up. I think sometimes these young kids get in trouble and they just figured this is going to be their life. They can't imagine a way out. That they have too many fines to pay. Perhaps there could be incentives for the inmates that if they're succeeding and following their program for Success getting work getting maybe a trade, that Their fines could be eliminated by the way that they go in and talk to inmates in the jail about how they succeeded even after being in trouble. I can't be the only person that's thought of this. I'm not in the local politics and all of that but I'd be curious if anybody's thought about doing this I'm sure they must have.
I really don't think this man was making a "serious cry for help" when he exclaimed that he was tired after running from the cops. He was simply expressing that he was physically tired.

I’ve been a clean and sober law abiding citizen for almost 20 yrs and when I get pulled over I still shake and am nervous. My mom never even sipped a beer or smoked a cig let alone broke the law and she shook and was nervous when she got pulled over for my dad forgetting to get the plate renewed. It’s normal to be nervous. It’s so satisfying to be clean tho. If you’re struggling with addiction get help life is so much better.

There's NOTHING to be nervous about when being stopped by a cop unless you are doing something WRONG. You quite literally prove my claim right by your post. You were an addict or boozehound, you were doing wrong earlier in your life. Your mother was nervous because your father's forgetting was wrong. Thousands of law obeying citizens interact with police on a daily basis and don't feel an ounce of nervousness because they've no reason to be......... Now if you were in an Arabic / Middle Eastern or Asian country where people disappear courtesy of the police, then you'd have every right to be nervous.

I work at a liquor store and it is crazy the amount of people who don’t carry ID. More than likely they have warrants or something but it happens at least a couple times a day.

They never found it

Dude is so far gone. Not sure any treatment program would save him other than incarceration. Prison saved my sister's life. She's now approaching 60 and a model citizen. Got clean when she was in her late 40s and that was due to being locked up for 6 years.
@@qckndrty1 these people can take Suboxone to stay off the drugs it's saved sooo many lived. I take Suboxone I was put on Percocet while on Active Duty and couldn't get off them even tapering it was brutal. I never did any other drugs just needed my pain medication. I'm off it now.
But again Suboxone can save their lives from doing Cocaine and Meth that Meth stuffs horrible what it does to people.

Me too, I was accepted into the police academy but found out I was pregnant shortly after. So I couldn't continue and I'm actually thankful for it. Because not everybody can be a cop. I'm physically strong very athletic, but cops face things that I couldn't handle. Some people don't give law enforcement enough credit for what they do, they are quick to criticize. I'm so glad you and I love cops! And I know we're not alone!

I don't tell everyone, but I had a drug and drinking problem that messed up my life for a while unfortunately, but im now clean off everything and exercising every day and healthy. I now have a bachelors in law enforcement and im going to the police academy. I have seen how badly drugs have can affect people, and a lot of time kill them. One of main goals is to help get drugs and drug dealers off the streets. I want to work in narcotics in the future some day if I can. You sell yourself short, you can be a cop too, but I understand you were pregnant, and that sort of took you be surprise. Anyway good luck.
