BTS has often openly criticized society and their (former) government a lot. They risked getting blacklisted performing their song Am I Wrong a couple of years after Sewol. It directly called out/responded to people in the (since impeached) presidential administration. Their boldness and sincerity in their art is always impressive. For a long time idols weren't considered real artists because they were put together by a company and had no part in writing their own music as it was handed to them. That's changing in part to BTS who are very involved along with their in-house staff in terms of creating what they release musically. I don't want to discredit any other groups, new or old, who were more involved but since I'm not familiar with every group through the years this is just a generalized statement that's not meant to single anyone out. I actually would not recommend the explanation of italian army for you. I get it, that ARMYs want to see your reaction, but some of the clips shown are really not for everyone easy to stomach... And i think, you would do better with the explanation of bulletproof vibes and then you can deside for yourself, if you want to know more. To see, how deep BTS lyrics and videos really are, the "lighter" one will do a great job and even that video will make you cry...

You should definitely react to the Italian Army explanation video. Even though army has already told you what this song is really about. The explanation video gives and shows you facts.. and shows you how BTS "Spring day" is related to the tragedy, and not just that tragedy, there's is couple other things as well. I'm not going to lie.. I personally am a person that hates to cry.. but this song.. when I watched the Italian Army explanation video.. it crushed my heart and I was filled with rage at the same time. And could not believe that I didn't hear about this in the U.S. Anyway, I hope you react to it.. we as Army know it will be hard, but we are here for you! 💜 Much love!

Its a sad song for sure but keep in mind although there are lot of clues in the video about the tragedy BTS has not formally come out and said its about this formally , this was mostly fans interpretations of the song, but I agree it definitely does point to the tragedy. I think BTS likes to keep their songs open to interpretations so everyone can use their songs to feel their emotions no matter what they are going through. It's an amazing song no matter how you interpret it . Thanks for your reaction of it.
they have come out in a interview last year in the Esquire jin had said it was about the ferry and many koreans have said they probably wont ever be able to say it directly word for word but that it was too coincidental to not be idk why people still say its not confirmed when it is. if it wasnt they wouldve said it wasnt since it would be easier to deny than confirm.

I suggest you better watch the explanation video about this mv. It is all about a ferry accident were high school student died and this incedent was a national issue in Korea. Watch the explanation video and you would really appreciate the mv. Cheers.
I feel like we need to give you a trigger warning before you watch the explanation for the video (if you choose to watch it). It will be very emotional as it talks about the Sewol ferry tragedy that happened. The song may not have been composed specifically around that tragedy, it could represent just general feelings of loss. But, the music video definitely has direct references. BTS has a way to tap into every emotion from joy to sadness. But, that's one reason we love them.
