It's funny your mentioned truck lasting forever. I have 1998 Sienna that's been to Utah twice. New Mexico once and Maine once and lots of one week trips like Canada. My little Sinna just keep on going and it's almost up to 4 k. God is the best God and he wants you to help other people. Pay your tithing and fast offering God will bless you
I loved the orange analogy! I used this today with my family but we used apples (didn’t have 10 oranges!) and it went great! I love the idea that even though we give something to the Lord, He gives it right back, just a different version and 10 x better! Thanks Brother Wilcox!
A monkey put his hand in a jar, grabbed a fistful of candy but could not pull his hand out unless he let go of the candy. He would not let go. The hunters came. But still he would not let go, and that was the end of the monkey. Same principle with paying tithing. THANK YOU FOR ONE OF THE BEST LESSONS ON TITHING I HAVE EVER HEARD.
Ben, you have your father's gift for finding what's relevant in the scriptures. As you know, that's probably your father's greatest strength as a teacher and the lion-share of what students' hunger for most. So, keep up the good work. I look forward to the future when you teach the Old Testament.

One more idea to add to the allegory of the oranges 😉. Has it ever been mentioned that the giver of the oranges owned an orange orchard? He already has more oranges than he knows what to do with - what on earth would he want or need with that one orange? In fact, the only reason he has an orange orchard is in order to give them away.
