It breaks in different ways over time, not only with a person, but with life itself. Most of the time, we have the ability to grieve for a while and then gradually resume life, hopefully wiser, stronger, and more compassionate about how difficult it is for all of us to live up to the impossible expectations of Real Love.
in my case was only once and I do not think is possible the second time...because the first time was so ...I cannot even describe ...but it was so profound, deep ...was a love that I will not meet second time in this life ...and I do not think is possible for me to love someone else again,I still love so profound that person...I am still waiting to meet that person again ...I am still waiting for that autumn ...when we love so much...

@@GodBlessAmen333 We are taught the false concept of meritocracy early on: if you do X, you will get Y. If you are nice, nice things will happen to you. This is not reality. The world doesn't "owe" you anything, because it simply doesn't work that way. There is no "contract" that it must fulfill as if it were an employer or contractor.
When you approach other people with that mentality, it will push them away. A person does not "owe" you attraction simply because you promise not to assault them. (I'm intentionally using an exaggerated example.) That expectation will have the opposite effect.
Reality works like this:
You can ask.
The world can say no. Other people can say no.
If you find yourself getting angry or hurt because they said no, then you came at them with the expectation, the demand, that because you have done X or Y, you deserve a 'yes.'
Once you can fix that in yourself: come to terms with the fact that no one owes you a 'yes,' and you yourself do not owe anything to anyone else, then you will develop confidence.
CONFIDENCE is what attracts. Security in one's self.
And the first step is throw meritocracy out of the window.
No one deserves nice things because they are nice.
You SHOULD be nice.
Sometimes, nice things will happen. We are grateful when they do.

What one considers to a "depressing" or "sad" enviroment, another person might call an environment for "reflection". Sometimes things like this may not exactly put one in a chipper mood, but taking the time to acknowledge and face the more difficult or complicated emotions and thoughts and feelings that we experience isn't necessarily fun. But I would argue that for many it could be very important for maintaining a healthy mind. And some people might actually see that as an ultimately uplifting experience even if it isn't exactly joyful.

was raining heavily tonight, decided to light up a cigarette and hang out my bedroom window while playing this masterpiece, watching the rain as it hits the ground and everything around it. Made me think deeply on how our world has got so bad, with all the riots, wars/conflicts, sex/race discrimination, so called viruses and losing a good few years… we use to live in a peaceful world with even the internet just becoming a mystery. Was simpler times back then for sure. Just nice to sit and think once in a while and not be so blind to it all. Humanity has become so distant, just social media projecting how our lives should be or look like, even public transport… a train for example, no-one dares talk to a stranger or human. Heads down on a screen, looking at 20 second clips or shorts. Kinda sad state of reality right now and feels like people are drowning in time.

the birds were softly, sweetly singing in the majestic arms of the old willows. fall has arrived, and it was a truly beautiful sight now-the earth was being painted a new color. and in the process, dots of warm colors were splattered all round.
i had decided to go for a stroll that crisp morning-
and then i saw him, walking beneath the great willows, my heart jumped with excitement and i quickened my pace.
i wanted to walk with him.
i wanted to talk with him.
it had been years since i’d last seen him. i had cherished, and read every letter he sent me since the day he was deployed, and now, finally i would be able to hold him once again.
i kept him in my sight, but i couldn’t catch up. so i began to run. my heart was racing, but i kept on going.
still, he was just out of reach.
i picked up the pace, but no matter how fast i went, he only grew further away.
i halted myself, and watched as he slowly faded over a hill.
my heart sank.
i’d lost him now.
i walked over by an old, large oak, and sat down on the dewy lawn and let the tears flow.
he was gone.
i had lost my chance to see him, my chance to hug him, my chance to catch him up on how life over here was going.
i leaned my head against the broad tree trunk… and then,
i woke up.
the moon was still high in the cold night sky, branches of trees outside my window rubbed against it.
it was a dream.
a dream so realistic, i had almost dared to believe it was reality.
but it wasn’t.
my mind was coming back to me now, and i began to cry.
night after night i dreamed that he had returned to surprise me, but he wasn’t coming home.
i never will catch up to him now.
he was gone.
i still had the letter of his death on my nightstand, it was wrinkled and tear stained now.
i fantasize each day of finally topping that hill, and being once again held in his embrace.
and each day i’m still walking alone, i drown in my own sorrow… wishing i was with him.

And this just makes me focus on the book I am reading not the tv that my parents are watching, not my brothers endless talking, not my cat running up and down the hall, I am able to focus on my book and understand it and enjoy it. When i look deep into my sadness i find a strange strength, even when everything is taken away sadness will remain. No one wants it. I have started to allow it, accept it, it makes me feel grounded. Is it depressing to like somber experiences? Or is depression denial of them? Why has it started to make me feel stronger in my depths? The unshakable bedrock of sadness i call it, cold, moist, dark and tough like granite.
