The capacitive buttons and infotainment is easy to use after a week of owning. Those errors that occurred early and lap can be fixed by getting replacement wheel at dealer.
Discs are Tarox F2000. I have them too. I wonder why you'd upgrade discs only though - owner says he burned his previous pads, so maybe because of the (supposed) improved cooling of slotted discs? My Golf 7R with stock rear discs also has this vibration from the rear after a slow ring lap but i though it was a warped disc. It's the pad what is the problem?
If you use street pads on track and get them too hot, they can easily leave uneven pad deposits on the rotor. That leads to the “warped brakes” vibration. Very rarely are the rotors actually warped.

I think the owner didn't turn off tcs properly, I tracked my mk8 R (used nurburgring mode) on the Bahrain International Circuit, and when I switched off TCS it started oversteering around almost every corner whenever I accelerate out of it, and had absolutely zero understeer, the more throttle I give it the sharper it turns basically
This is the base model without any options. So it hasn't adjustable suspension. It's a shame to buy a Golf R this way imo. If you spend all this money to buy the R model, just do it right then. He says in the video not willing to spend 2 grand for the performance pack. But the base car is what something about € 50 000? That's just 4% of the cost he already payed. Also who puts uprated discs on a car without uprated pads?? Don't save on money if you buy a performance car or just buy something more affordable...
Also I was much quicker per lap than a stage 2 mk7 r because the mk8 r was significantly quicker around corners, the dude was confused with how much speed I was taking the corners at, he told me he was pushing hard but couldn't get close to my cornering speed, was only faster on a straight line because he had a stage 2 tune (420hp)
Why every car owner when asked "how many HP your car make?" answers like he doesn't know how many HP the car make "Hmmm, about 314, 320, something like that". OF COURSE HE KNOWS! hahahaha
The reason he said it like that is because VW actually underrates their engines, so it's hard to get an exact figure. VW claims 320 but there are some that get as high as 350 on the dyno, completely stock. So saying "320 - 340 something like that" is actually quite honest.
Probably, but is irrelevant cause the thing it's almost impossible to know how many hp an engine has. Actually, dynamometers fails too is not accurate 100%
He says, buy the MK7, and invest the money on modding it, so basically is the same thing, but with an older platform. Might as well buy a 1990 Miata, save the money to do an LS1 swap on mods. Or save the money to buy a Ford Taurus, and invest it on modding it to make it track worthy. His comment made no sense!

As capable as the car is on track, I just could not live with it as a daily with all the unnecessary assists to be switched off manually everytime and the "far too much touchscreen and touch controls"-depending user interface. I know that most of the unnecessary assists are thanks to the EU and UK regulations, so I don't blame Volkswagen for it. However, I would appreciate the manufacturer which allows you to have a configurable button for which you can decide what to deactivate with one click/touch. If this is legally allowed, of course.

Ironically the lane control error that they have it is caused by the steering wheel, VW of America is replacing those like crazy, so yeah stay away from that steering wheel 😂
Me: How do you feel about the Golf 8R?
Misha: 10:51
It does not have the performance package!!! Complete different vehicle with the extra options
Cant wait for the 323 video. Cause.... Reasons 😉😉
Always thought Cupras look MUCH better than Golf Rs. But I REALLY like the mk8
literally just a stock mazda 3, fucking love my 2.3 with the right tires and tighter suspension
Mooi rondje.
The only car that gets more notifications than Misha's phone 😵💫
you can't let Misha behind the wheel and then ask him to go "EZ on the tires, pls"
I feel like I remember meeting this guy at Bedford Autodrome on a track day, really nice guy, the car was basically brand new then… but if it wasn’t him it was his twin 🤣
13:30 is that the Tikt Performance c6z06?? Misha you should try to drive that sometime, or at least get a passenger ride
Needed to be in Nuremberg mode!
3:38 of course BMW flashing lights lmaooo
@@kevinghijs7330 the stock disks are already good so idk why did he do that in the 1st place, he could've spent that on the performance pack lmao
So yeah, paying the price diff on mods isn't gonna make the 7R faster around a track
You need to drive a Kona N please.
The N would blow away this vw on track. It's not even close.
Then you say i dont know or 320.
Nah mate
@@ZenzDeluxethen the answer would be ‘VW claim 320’, rather than pretending not to know
This guy is basically playing a video game IRL (but without rewind) lol
He says, buy the MK7, and invest the money on modding it, so basically is the same thing, but with an older platform.
Might as well buy a 1990 Miata, save the money to do an LS1 swap on mods. Or save the money to buy a Ford Taurus, and invest it on modding it to make it track worthy.
His comment made no sense!
In the thumbnail it looked like James Rolfe was there riding shotgun.
I would like to see an MK6 Fiesta ST on the channel.
The capacitive touch not disappointing as usual like every other track video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hope that 323f is 1.8 (bp miata engine) not 1.5 (but exhaust indicates the smallest engine). I had one 2010-2016. Looking for the video!
It was a Mazda 3 MPS right?
I dont think I've ever heard an owner complain so much about their own vehicle. Maybe you shoud have spent the extra 💰 on the Performance pack so you get the modes that will not interfere with shifting and traction. But you probably would have been happier with something a little older touch capacitive buttons for around the same price lile an older RS3....
Danger to the manifold error, You know, stuf like that...😄
despite that the car is vw crap owner is super friendly. kudos to him. hope soon he can buy something better than vw group craps.
Yeah Misha tried to be nice, but the car is garbage on track.
Misha! Did you delete the engine sounds pre-render, or did VW delete them pre-sales 😂
Need to do top spec Tiguan R lol .still a 7.5 fanboy
"Don't kill my tires" ????
WTF ...que crees que va a hacer dentro del circuito ???
He said he ways joking, but ya not a good joke lol
Ajjajajajja
@@TinyMiniStealtha mí también me hizo gracia como lo dijo al principio
Never be as good as the original mk1 golf
Love the way the cameras are set up now days 👍
Good video
Haha the owner looked kinda pissed off after you went over the curb hard in the beginning
Which fuel you was using?. Thanks.
Greedy to not get the performance package but man when you decide to sell it it will be a nightmare to find a buyer that's the thing
Mazda 323F? Mazda Lantis.....
Love the videos Misha
What about the mazda 323 ? ? ? Cant wait to see that little japanese marvel !
10:41min Is that the S211 E55 (or S211 E63) which lost his left rear tire? 🥴🫣🤷🏻♂️
i wass always saying buttons are the best touchscreens in cars are ussless and yes in wv you cant deactivate the esc completly it sucks and all of these elektronics in the car that always anoy you while driving i dont like new cars at all
As capable as the car is on track, I just could not live with it as a daily with all the unnecessary assists to be switched off manually everytime and the "far too much touchscreen and touch controls"-depending user interface.
I know that most of the unnecessary assists are thanks to the EU and UK regulations, so I don't blame Volkswagen for it. However, I would appreciate the manufacturer which allows you to have a configurable button for which you can decide what to deactivate with one click/touch. If this is legally allowed, of course.
toyota celica 2zz 7th gen, i wanna see you do that. :)
Would my modded renault 19 sport be enough for the nurburgring?
VW engineer: these mk8 haptic controls are great
Misha and owner: these mk8 haptic controls are shit
Gearbox doesn’t seem very dsg like. It seems to be slurring the gears…..maybe wasn’t in R setting?
soft, understeer, many errors on the dash, traction control issues, brake errors, torque vector error in the carpark, stupid touch buttons, gears that choose them self. wow rush out and buy... something else. lol
Truth, the MK8 is a mess.
Misha, which one would you chose
Clio rs mk3, type r fn2 or fiesta st
Clio rs best car for track, st best daily, civic (get an ep3 not fn2) best engine and emotion
Ever tried the seat Leon cupra st 300? 4drive of course.
He has 100% an tuning box....because the shifts....there is for an moment no power....I had it too.
I see it instantly....👆🏽👆🏽😝
Dont kill my tires..so if you want Nordschleife lap..you obviously know how Misha is driving and how lap will be driven.
i love the dashboard 😍
Would lobe to see you vs chris harris in a lap tbh.
Big difference to 8Y RS3?
10:37 dude was that the mercedes that lost his left rear wheel?
This car needs a proper DSG tune!! Look after every shift how it just falls down another 0,3 rpm ..😅😬 sounds horrible to me!
Sounds like the clutches is slipping really annoying
Yeah something is wrong with his DSG, mine shifts much more smoothly
0:08 What is the first temperature display on the top right?
Must be gearbox temp
Great job
Keep it up
