    Here’s how shortest version ever on how rake effects your game. When the rake is high tighten your ranges preflop and think about 3 and 4 betting more often. Because of “no flop no drop” you’re incentivized to be more aggressive preflop. Also ask the dealers/floor sups when the rake is taken. Some places rake the flop, some the turn and some the river. This should affect your bet sizing on the various street. I.E. if the game is raked on the river you are incentivized to bet larger on flop and turn.

    I've never even heard about this! I knew it was taken somehow I thought it would be like an hourly rate. Like $5 an hour or something.

      Yeah, a couple casinos do hourly. Peppermill here in Reno is $5 every 30 min.

    I've heard when it comes to deciding if a rakes beatable main factors....
    1. ) can't be pro's or really good players at most of the table.
    To many good players male the game really hard to win.
    2. ) Rake Cap has got to below 4BB and under 10% ideally.
    This Is a general term I've read some guru say if the rake cap is 6BB+ 90% of fish and pro's struggle to beat it.
    GG Poker charges 4BB in some of their games and thier well known for tough games. You can't game select thier and rakes are really high compared to other sites.
    If rake cap Is over 4BB 98% of the time your gonna struggle.
    As for timed rake the only way to know If It's beatable is to take average data If the average rake Is taken Is way lower than the average player makes It's beatable.
    Again needs to be a low BB amount.
    As for the percentage side of things most games are between 1%-15% up to a cap.
    Anything above 10% avoid only pro's should play thier.
    Ideally long and short
    1. Games should be full of terrible players mostly amateurs and fish...
    2. Rake Cap had to be below 4BB and no higher than 10%.
    For timed pots the rake has to be similar.
    3. Never play uncapped games....

    Some general poker tips to help improve your games
    1. Think about pot odds and outs a lot more.
    2. Play fewer hands and play them agressively.
    3. Don’t bluff or all in a lot.
    Bluffing is a different skill entirely. Don’t bluff big bets don’t put in loads more on a bluff.

    how do you tip and how much a poker dealer?

    • @coloruppoker
      @coloruppoker  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s customary for the winner of each hand to tip $1 from winning pot. If it’s a big pot, you can tip more.

    He said the take was 10% up to $40???

    • @coloruppoker
      @coloruppoker  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      $40 pot, so the 10% is $4. After $40 pot and higher, no more rake is removed

      From a business standpoint, why should they be the ones to pay for the business and not the poker player? Everybody is enjoying the building gaming, etc..

    10% max rake up to $40?!?! Thats crazy for an actual casino! Least in northeast usa, rake is capped at $10 or less in every casino ive been in in the northeast. Promo drop additional $1-$2. I would never play a game with that high a rake.
