I have the Wood&Burn MyStove regular stove. Latest version. It started to rust after the first time I used it, awful.. (didn't get wet at all) Just some weird corrosion eruption. All the painted surfaces have broken out in pitting and rust.
I think I know what you're experiencing. I have an older version of the original My Stove and it has a burn and some what discoloration on the outside that looks like rust. Unfortunately, stainless steel fire products from other companies that I have used such as Snow Peak and Solo Stove has the same effect after prolong usage. Only fire products that are coated with a ceramic coating will prevent discoloration on the exterior. I hope you're able to get in touch with someone to have warranty serviced for your My Stove. I’ve been collecting Snow Peak stuff for over 3 years and other brands even longer. There are other quality brands besides Snow Peak but it might not fit my camping style. If you consider my channel a Snow Peak channel then thank you! I consider my channel an Asian lifestyle camping channel.

I certainly push the limits of my equipments. The tarp has an inner tarp that is fire resistant. It helps but is not fool proof. Thanks for watching!
