You aren't only one. Big huge houses may be impressive to build and look fancy but honestly, who needs all that space? Smaller home is easier to work with. You can always add to it if you need more.

One thing I have to say is that I dont think any starter Will find a mushroom island in atleast more than a hour so you cant really call that a starter base can you?????

Hmm, if it's at spawn? But it's very rare to be spawn on mushroom island, but in one of my old servers I found it at spawn to another normal biomie.

Heya. It's not a texture pack. He uses shaders (complimentary) with Optifine. I use the same shaders. If you are a java player and got a decent enough pc, Shaders (complementary is one of the best imo) with optifine are a must. Anyway. Have a nice day!
