Wow. This is like no car kit I've ever seen - I heard someone say its more like a bike kit even. You did a great job though! Love that blue! I've just made Senna's McLaren so I think I'll wait a bit before I pick up one of these.
Yeah very much like a bike build. Last night started work on the interior and engine. Have to say not even the Pagain had so many parts to it! btw your McLaren came together nicely! Awesome build! Yet to attempt any F1 machinery, but is on the list for ‘21
@@autostradamacchina thank you very much! I'm not surprised you haven't - all of my F1 kits have been bought second hand bar 2 maybe. They aren't easy to find.
Hey Danny, yeah you're spot on. I didn't want to Carbon the entire car but my plan was to use black base with clear blue paint over the black to "emulate" the colour of the carbon, but while testing with the paint I couldn't get a very good result so decided to stick to the Tamiya suggested colour's for the "carbon" bits.
great work. When I saw this kit I was afraid that after 2k clear there might be fitment issues with all those body panels. It's such a complex body and chassis build. The Pagani Huyra from Aoshima is super complex like this and everyone who builds it says it's a nightmare, and many don't finish it. Did you have any fitment issues with the body on this kit?
I have to say the kit really went together flawlessly, even with clear etc. I’ve build the Huayra as my second ever model and I’ll tell you that was no walk in the park, this was so much easier to put together, the only piece I found tricky to navigate was the glass and panels that holds them into place, had to work pretty slow. The only negative comment I have with the way this goes together is the body once complete doesn’t feel as rigid as a normal “single” piece, need to be super careful with it
@@autostradamacchina wow. my understanding was that is NOT a kit to build for your second build. You did a great job on this one. Thanks for the feedback. Smacking that sub button.
@@JHartModelworks ha, yeah I definitely didn’t have any idea how difficult the Huayra was going to be. But thanks for the sub and the kind words. The modelbuilding community is really awesome! 👍🏻
Thanks man, happy you like the content! For the body I used zero paints ZP-1175, they call it a light blue metallic, and the rest is pretty much just the standard Tamiya stuff, used some Mr Hobby paints here and there as well
The main reason back then was I had a shitty gun and small chinese compressor which could pass the primer through. So had to go outside to spray with a can. So lazyness…I now primer all parts before spraying
This is absolutely epic, nice work! Thank you for making it and sharing the video, so cool.
No worries man, glad you like it. I’ll share when its done 😎
I'm so glad that you painted it blue!! I love it so far brother and can't wait to see the finished product!
As always thanks for the awesome feedback. Yeah I think it just had to be blue on this one haha. 👊🏻👊🏻
@@autostradamacchina it's the perfect color for it for sure brother!!👊
Awesome Video!!! I like the blue!!!! Can't wait for mine to arrive. I'll be watching
Thanks Mike, a complicated but satisfying build so far 👍🏻
Immaculate, as always! 👏👏👏
Always appreciate it Matty 🔥🔥❤️
Great and impressive work so far! Looking forward to watch part 2 ! Thumbs up!
Cheers Dom 🍻

Looking really good!!!!!
Thanks man! 🍻
Great build! my favorite car of all. I also want to build a blue Senna, But Tamiya still has my order pending 😢. Great video Keep it up!.
Thanks mate, your advise on the lighting has really helped. Will keep trying to make this better as I go. Hope yours turn up soon! 🔥🔥
@@autostradamacchina thank you 👍🏼😉
TAMIYA GOOD!
Looks great, BUT, Tim's car isn't black with blue. The "black" bits are actually dark blue carbon fiber.

Just found your channel, glad I did! Immaculate work! What brand of paints did you go with?

Jebus the moulding in that main chassis part at 7:00 is off the map.
Man this kit is pretty impressive in general! A lot of detail..!
You are very brave for using superglue so close to clear plastic 😂
Why don’t you wash and primer the parts when still on the sheet then take it off and paint it
The main reason back then was I had a shitty gun and small chinese compressor which could pass the primer through. So had to go outside to spray with a can. So lazyness…I now primer all parts before spraying
@@autostradamacchina It’s amazing how much time Iv spent painting the parts when still on the sheet lol Can’t wait to see how mine looks bud
Good luck with it mate, its a great kit. Loved putting it together
