Look, on iOS 13 when you screen lock an app it either gives the option for “one more minute” or enter passcode. Which if someone tried to look through your phone they can always select “one more minute”. What people in the comments want to know is whether or not you’re able to screen lock an app without the selection of “one more minute”. All you guys can do is hope Apple or another developer releases some sort of applock for Apple.

You explained this really well, but it's not a good fix for privacy issues due to the "one more minute" opening up the app without having to use the pass code. I think that there is a password protected app that can store other apps.

If you plan on locking the photos, you also have to lock the camera. If you lock the photos only, you can still access the photos through the camera app.

You have to lock it everyday because there’s a option that says Pass for the Day and the app is open the whole day you don’t even have to put in the passcode.

I know this is a late reply but, this doesn’t help because if a thief stole my phone they won’t have access to the apps i locked today. But after 23:59 they literally have 1 minute to see all of my information on the apps i locked.( Apple need to add this feature when you apps are straight up locked forever to hide your privacy ).
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but I followed all the steps here and the passcode requirement never stays on the apps. I set it to require a passcode for longer than 1 minute, set the passcode, and the apps go dark. but then I can immediately access the apps for as long as I want without a passcode as if I never altered the settings at all. I’m so confused.

It’s unlocked for the the amount of time you’ve selected.

Hey Can you please help me? I've tried to do this tutorial but. My app doesn't lock after two minutes. I set the timer to be 2 minutes but it just doesn't lock. How to hide recent calls ?
I just put a passcode for it and literally the same because it asks to confirm the same passcode but now as I’m typing the same passcode, it says wrong password! What should I do? I even used the Forgot passcode and signed in with my Apple Id but still nothing it gives me more time to wait to enter passcode again since it says I’ve typed the wrong passcode.

Great video, but apps can still be opened if you press 1 more minute. I tested this with my knuckle and was still able to get in. Very strange feature. It’s basically that yellow gate meme with no other barriers.

Mine doesn't say ignore one minute, mine says 15 minutes, 1 hour or all day. Of course, this video is over a year old, so sadly there have been updates that make this video obsolete.

You do realize that Apple engineers screwed up big time when creating this feature? The minimum amount you can lock any app is 1 min. That’s a security and privacy nightmare! They should set to lock immediately..

I’m sure this feature needs to be fixed because there’s literally a bypass to it if you tap the give me one more minute feature. It doesn’t require you to put a pass code to give you that means it lets you go straight to the app which is literally dumb because it defeats the whole purpose so there is absolutely no way that this works how it supposed to.

What people are saying is: when you open the app after the limit is imposed, you can always tap ‘1 more minute’ instead of tapping ‘get more time’ to get another minute without needing the code to unlock it

It appears the one more minute thing only works one time.... for one minute... then the next time it requires the passcode.
One minute only works once for each app everyday

I've tried that method and it works, however it has one downside. Safari is affected and may not be allowed to run outside the time limits. That means you may choose to give your pass and ask for whole day clearance for any blocked app EXCEPT Safari. I think it has to do something with the build-in features of Safari in iOS which prevent Safari to behave like the other apps.

They don't want you to share your ''i''Phone so you should buy another one for that person or buy a new one and pass down your current iPhone to that person.
On an Ipad, once you reach your limit it asks if you want more time, it will then allow you access the app once again for 1 minute. So you have to kill that extra minute before the app is blocked and requires the passcode.

Hi Guys, i used to use the Screen Time to lock my apps, using 1 minute as time limit for all apps. After IOS 13, now there is a option that you can access any app for “one more minute”. I think that it can be usefull for somepeople but i really didnt like that there is no option to disable it. Is there any way to disable? Thanks

So basically anyone can access sensitive data for a minute. My wife can see the pen I watched for a minute. How is this a lock.
It’s a temp solution because after that one min you are asked for more time 15min, 1 hour or all day...but it’s better than nothing but not a really secure. It’s more of a hassle for the owner
