The advanced milling process of rice involves the following steps:
Pre-cleaning: Remove foreign materials like straw, weed seeds, soil, and other inert materials from the paddy.
Dehusking or dehulling: Remove the husk from the rice grains. This is done by passing the rough rice through a series of sieves and a closed-circuit aspiration system.
Paddy separation: Separate brown rice from paddy using a paddy separator. Paddy separators use a combination of sieves and air separation to segregate these components.
Whitening or polishing: Polish the brown rice to remove the bran layer. This is done by rubbing the grains together under pressure.
Separation of white rice: Separate the broken grains from the whole kernels.
