The love story between Amy and Ty was always the best part of watching Heartland. It was such a loving, and powerful relationship that most would characterize it as perfect. That is why many fans continue to watch the series for any reference or inclusion of Ty in the lives of Amy and lindy. In my opinion, the writers don't do enough of Amy talking about Ty especially to Lindy. The introduction of Nathan as Amy's new love interest or as some would say the new Ty is only to keep things interesting and not boring. In the end, the Amy and Lyndy connection to Ty will always prevail over everything else including any new love interest for Amy.
I understand that, though. If the show keeps talking about Ty, it becomes very difficult for the show (and audience) to move on. Ty is NOT coming back. BTW, in the Season 17 finale, Ty was referenced.

The thing is, though, I don't recall anyone who is actually part of the show... cast, writers, producers or anyone else associated with Heartland, saying that Graham Wardle's character will return. It is only being said as clickbait by disingenuous online content creators and as wishful thinking by some fans of the show who find it difficult to move on.
@@danapetrasek3970 Hmmm... I'm not sure that Mr. Wardle has actually said anything like that.... besides, everyone knows that his character, Ty, could never make a return to the show and have it explained with any coherency. Also, his leaving the show was his choice. He ain't coming back.
The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
When Ty. Ashley,Mallory,Jake left n all these new ppl came on it ruined Heartland plus that it was only about Georgie n her character was snobby n she evennseemed dlutty in real life.. the wholesomeness of Heartlands been lost since season 14

Amy is young let her have time to grieve and heal. Still little early to stick her with someone new. Just give her positive people around her. Till she’s ready she will know. She found Ty ❤

As a Heartland fan, bringing Ty back would be the ultimate series success story. However, even if he doesn't return the show should focus on the reason true fans continue watch Heartland, and that is Amy and Ty's love story. Amy dating and her relationship with Nathan(some say is Ty's replacement} is simply the writers keeping the show interesting and not boring. Some have said Amy deserves happiness and should remarry like Jack and Tim. Remember, Tim and Jack remarrying is entirely different than Amy's situation because the fans have had 14 years to know and love Ty which can't be erased. In the end, Ty can't be replaced and Amy's overwhelming love and connection to Ty will prevail. Heartland will end with Amy finding her happiness and place as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted.

I quit watching after Ty died.....not due to the TV show itself, but due to some changes in my life.....trying to catch up, it seems that not only the women but the men have so many different possibilities as far as love interest in their lives!! What's up with this? And Amy and all the men in her life!? What happened to the wholesome young Amy? Her child is forever being left with grandpa or Lou. And then theres Lou who plays seesaw with her ex, while always entertaining thoughts of some other man! Wow....almost too mind blowing for me! Now Ty is back after the audience watching his ashes blowing in the wind!! What happened to Heartland? It became part of our crazy establishment!!

I love the love that Amy and Ty had. Graham wardle moved on to do other things. I feel that Amy needs to love Ty always but also have someone in her life to be partner with. You can love again just not have sole mate. I don’t think they need to bring men in Amy live just to think she needs a man. Amy a strong beautiful person. She going to raise Lyndy with strong love and kindness. Let nature take its course. Amy will know what she wants. One of the worst seasons of Heartland, Amy always after the Man, in this one there were 3 men. A woman (Amy) who doesn't teach her daughter anything, nor stays with her daughter, very strange, right. She doesn't talk about her father to her daughter, she doesn't visit the grave of the husband who loved her so much. She spent more time with men than with her own daughter, she became a vulgar, loveless woman. Lindy, your daughter has to learn her profession and also find out who her father was, TY. During the cattle drive, Jack was talking to the family about the FAMILY BUSINESS and said that the Bartlett Fleming Morris Klan never gives up without a fight. Shouldn't Jack have said that Bartlett Fleming Morris Borden Klan never gives up without a fight??? Or did Lyndy Marion Borden change her name to Fleming??? A big mistake by the producers in not mentioning Borden. Season 18 I hope Jack gives Nathan a leg up on Montana, Nathan is the worst for Amy. Amy get your head on straight and take care of your daughter. Heartland has been dead since season 14, each season getting worse and worse without an audience.

Spencer Lord ( Nathan) is a wonderful addition to Heartland ! His relationship with Amy is promising for season 18. There will be lots of conflict because of the competition between the two ranches and
the beef business. Looking forward to season 18 of Heartland in 2024 and Amy and Nathan's relationship!
I wonder where Chloe's parents and other family members were? Did any of them attend Chloe and Shane's wedding? I hope there will be a Season 18 so we can see the women of Heartland flourish even more in business and their personal lives. Heartland has come so much farther than anyone had anticipated. They need to commit to an 18-20th Season without question. There's still just too much story left to tell.

That is an unhealthy mindset to have. Graham Wardle is a real person who has been blessed with many gifted talents, and only one life to live. After 14 years, he felt led to pursue what would enrich his creativity and communication skills, especially by helping others in life.
Some other actors and actresses with solid parts who played main characters in the Heartland series also chose to leave at the end of their contracts, and they moved on to pursue more career opportunities: Jessica Amlee (Mallory), Alisha Newton (Georgie), Kerry James (Caleb), etc., etc., etc. You should wish them all well, and be thankful for the years that they did invest.
