I remember these spoofs with great affection, and wish that there was anyone now as talented as the Ronnies. They never treated their professional guests with anything less than utter respect, and only worked with the best in their profession.
That ballet slipper flying through the air and the Maypole mishap are hysterical! The whole thing is fabulous.... and the professional dancers were truly great sports in this skit!!! I agree I don't how they kept from collapsing into laughter throughout Ronnie's "dancing." Talk about the ballerina from hell!!
I used to love the spoof/ sketches the two ronnies did where they took well know songs ..or music and totaly changed the words ect ...think one of my faves is them doing the Nutcracker suite know as boys in the Ballet! th-cam.com/video/bBd021E3F6k/w-d-xo.html
I love the costumes and the whole choreography. This couldn`t be as funny as it is without the perfection of the real ballet dancers :) Great job, everyone!
Omg, Ronnie was actually in sync with them! Goodness. That was tough one to pull off. Hats off to the amazing Ronnie, and ofc the professional dancers. 🤗
Watched the 2 Ronnie's when the shows were first televised. After all these years never fails to make me smile. Keep showing clips of these comedians what about Morecame and Wise. They were brilliant too
The ballerina putting Ronnie's shoe back on, timing never missed a beat. Brilliant comedy with not a spoken word. Don't know how old Ronnie was when he did this piece but his flexibility would be the envy of many. The speed of his footwork at the start was amazing.
The name escapes me, at the moment, of the dancer (maybe Kim??) who puts Ronnie’s shoe back on but she was from Sydney whereas the rest of us were from Melbourne. The year was 1979 so you may be able to work out how old he was if you look up his date of birth. I hope this helps 🙂

Le vilain petit canard ... euh ..cigne !!😅😂.. Original et drôle😅 La grâce et la beauté de réelles danseuses classique mélangé au comique, cela est une réussite !
That about summed up my attempt at my ballet classes when I was about 11. Except our ballet shoes had Criss cross ribbons- which mine would always slide down into a heap at my ankles!

I remember watching Trockadero (sp)as a small child, at least 60 years. SO funny! Large, out-of-shape, hairy, white men in tutus dancing clumsily what I thought was serious ballet.
It always amazes me to think how creative those old teachers were. It’s hard to see this kind of creativity nowadays. Only once a while. Most artists they don’t really put the heart to it or to improve it. The funny girls are probably the last batch. 😓

I used to love watching the show. It's not until now that I'm able to appreciate just how much time, rehearsal and effort went into these sketches
Wonderful. Ronnie Corbet was a great comedian. He did lots of routines like this as well as a great joke teller. Wish we had talent like this today.
