- A 4K HDR Walking Tour of Leixlip Town in County Kildare, Ireland filmed on a beautiful Autumn day in October 2023.
Leixlip is a picturesque town in County Kildare. It is the 5th largest town in the county with population of 16,773. The town is a short distance from Dublin and sits at the confluence of The River Liffey and The River Rye. The name Leixlip is derived from an old Viking name meaning Salmon Leap.
The town was also home to Arthur Guinness's first brewery in 1756, where he brewed ales until he moved on to St. James's Gate Brewery, Dublin in 1759.

Awesome work of video🎉
Thank you so much 😁
Dear Peter!
In beautiful autumn weather, we were able to walk under the blue sky in this beautiful little town.
I saw many beautiful buildings, the ones built of stone are special. I think that people who love Ireland (like me) and follow you on your walks are used to the colors. The flowers are still beautiful. Did you have to do the salmon jump from the bridge over the River Liffey?
I also really like the phone booth. Seeing the buses, I assume that you can come to this beautiful place from Dublin.
Thank you very much for the experience.
Thanks so much Susan.
It was really a beautiful day for this time of year. The blue skies and warm sunshine were amazing. There were lots of old and historic buildings to see along the way to. I felt like joining the salmon for a dip in the river to cool off😂 Yes this is very close to Dublin and on the Dublin Bus Route. Have a wonderful day🍀 Peter.
@@walkingwithpeter Thank you for your reply. Have a beautiful and productive day!
