this abyss was like ripping off multiple bandages at once💀💀
this was a pretty normal abyss, if you have the right units for it. 2nd half just needs a geo character (unless u can brute force plunge attacking the shield) for chamber 3, but overall this was nice and not too restrictive on team building.
@@ctran1955 yeah, i guess it was pretty normal. i just havent done it in a while so i guess i forgot how challenging floor 12 actually is !
@ctran1955 i do feel like they do keep making the enemies tankier. Although that's fair with them releasing stronger and stronger characters, it does make it harder if you dont have the most up-to-date team, or you just wanna use your favorite units instead. Can definitely still be done, though. Cleared Abyss with Eula and Yoimiya
@@ctran1955BIG CAP. This abyss is too restrictive. That spectres on second chamber and coppelia on the third chamber force you to bring a hydro dps. They really want to sell neuvilette and kazuha with this abyss.
Easy for us doesn't mean it's easy for the others.
This is definitely a more restrictive abyss than usual, especially if we compare it to the previous abyss.
@@_dah_bocah the previous abysses were markedly easy for floor 12. this is still not nearly as restrictive as 3.7. The specters are literally one wave of one chamber, you can still brute force it with other characters that aren’t Kazuha and Neuvillette. The only restrictive thing imo is geo for 2nd half but even that can be brute forced if someone is okay with plunge attacking (or overload). I absolutely understand it might not be easy for others but I’m still comparing it to other floor 12s.

I relate so much to this, I have a team with Diona, Yoimiya, Ganyu, and Furina because they were my only built ish characters at the time, but they actually work pretty well in my opinion!! And I’m building Xianyun but idk what’s her best team, and now I just got Itto whom I’ve wanted to get for months now just yesterday 🥲
Yeah i focused on 2 teams until i managed to clear abyss with them quite easy, and after that is when i started building some other characters
@@katodelingu can restart and accumulate the bonus u need wait a day with the good bonus and do the 36 that way if u struggle ur 2 teams are way strong enough to do 36 with some tricks

Congrats on your Abyss success! It took me a year and half to beat it for the first time and I think about a month more to get 36 stars for the first time but since then I 36-star it every single time because I don't want to drop the streak. There were times when it was exceedingly hard and needed many many retries and team switching but recently as I got really good characters in good teams, it's becoming easy and I'm starting to look forward the reset as a welcome primogem drop. I'm sure with proper care you can get there too.
same for me! i felt really bad i couldnt do it a year in, despite me having the "meta" teams, but eventually i got the hang of it. ever since dendro came out it's been a lifesaver. i also look forward to a reset to get more primos

The feeling of clearing abyss first time is very satisfying. Adjusting your team selection and artifact when failing. But it does get a little bit board when you get good and very strong team.

CONGRATSS, we’re proud of you!! those 100 primos were not worth it, but it’s for honor and satisfaction, perfecting those builds did definitely pay off :D
aaand two small tips: the boss with the shield, you could’ve also just plunged normally with a polearm/sword/claymore user (like kazuha), that would’ve also worked
and i recommend you to pick a team for the 3rd chamber first, so first and second half don’t matter, and then when you three star the third chamber (if you’re willing to), you can redo first and second chamber with more suitable teams for them, don’t know if this made sense oopsies
ANYWAYS congrats again, i remember your old videos where you didn’t even wanna try, look at how far you’ve come (this feels like im congratulating someone for hitting a specific amount of subs but anyways)

really goes to show how much just picking the right teams can help, also every abyss usually has one side with AOE and one side with single target, so just keeping that in mind and taking wrio for the single target side can help a lot too. great video as always kato 💟

Congratulations!! There's nothing more satisfying than completing abyss with your favorite teams. I was actually thinking that you'd have a better chance switching the teams around before you did it, I had to cancel my run to put Zhongli in my Xiao team to make it quicker as well.
Now about your advice to sticking to 2 teams and making them better... yes but also no. I used to do that when I started to do the abyss regularly in 2.x, had Ayaka permafreeze and Raiden national as my teams. But then right before 3.x I noticed that it couldn't solve all my problems anymore when abyss started to change. Permafreeze struggled. I got tired of rational's boring rotations. Luckily dendro came out to save me and I could test new teams and one of my old mains started to get buffs later. Sometimes building new teams or characters can help. Not necessarily following meta, because I don't always, but for the variety if an abyss is too hard. My first 36* was the abyss when I got Ayato and he trivialized pyro lectors (my only hydros were Xingqiu, Mona, and Barbara). With every region the paradigm shifts and it sucks to get powercreeped, but since I pull for new characters I like more or less often I can switch to something easier if my two favorite teams (atm it's Cyno quickbloom and Xiao hypercarry, I always try to see how far I can go with them) are bad at that abyss.
You'll ask how I can even build a lot of characters but the answer will surprise you. I just build the support I need at the moment. That's it. Most teams repeat the same super good flexible characters over and over. As time passes, you may find that except for one or two characters tops, most of the team is already built decently and good to go. You already have Kazuha, Nahida, Kokomi, Zhongli, Benny, Xiangling, etc. all ready to use, for example. If you have the basic building blocks, making teams with that new cool DPS you just pulled is much easier. Say you wanted to play Tighnari rn. You can already form a spread team for him with those and focus on him alone. Wrio's teammates can also be a mono pyro/vape/overload team with another character. When I got Furina, I had already built Baizhu and Jean for other teams so I could slip her into any team. So it's not a bad idea to pull and build those sub-DPS, healers, shielders, buffer characters first. It will take months for this point but eventually, you don't get to worry again. And you don't have to build EVERYONE, just who you need for your fave

To kill the enemy with the shield, just jump when it's shooting bombs, it'll send you flying and plunge to break the shield

Congrats on the 36*. A tip i could give that would help if you do this cycle again is for the boss with geo shield. He creates a zone around itself that allows you to jump high. So you can also plunge to remove the geo shield. You can do it throughout the whole battle

personally I like building almost every character for the variety, which has made abyss much more difficult, but I like the challenge and have the patience to 36 star

Our queen has brought us content🧎🏻♀️Also a big part of 36 staring is learning the enemies moves, patterns and weaknesses and slightly adjusting your teams accordingly. I don't really have a ton of well build characters but sometimes switching EM Xingqui with a damage Yelan in a Nilou bloom team really is all the difference you need! Congrats queen and keep your head high!

Please don't take this the wrong way, I want to come across as encouraging and not critical, but I watch almost all your videos so I have a decently good idea of the strength of your account. With how well-invested your characters are, 36 starring abyss should theoretically be easy. I think the only thing holding you back (and sorry for being blunt) is 'skill-issue' lmao. Of course, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, and everyone enjoys different aspects of the game; I'm just saying that if you had the desire or motivation to, you could easily become better and start wiping the floor with abysses!! I'd really enjoy watching that as well, katodeling training arc would be so awesome. But regardless of whether that happens or not, I'll keep watching. Keep it up kato :D

A little tip i used for first half, you need the crowd control. Hyperbloom second half works best, cause you have to kill everything fast. I used a hypercarry Raiden team:
🌟 (Raiden, Kazuha, Furina and Jean) -> for first half
and hyperbloom with Zhongli
🌟 (Nahida, Xingqiu, Kuki and Zhongli) -> for second half. Easy 36 stars. 🤍

I use to be like you where I struggle alot in Spiral Abyss, now I'm more synergies in multiple elements reaction, enemies and rotation its quite rough but end up pull it through. Like this Spiral Abyss, the first floor just destroy the pyro abyss mage with hydro swirl and just wipe them out, the next tho its annoying but also very rough, priotize the anemo operator Fatui while the Cryo one chase you alot.
This its just an example but I don't want to make to long for it, also congratulation 36 stars Spiral Abyss, I truely got that feeling ever since I got one too for the first time.
my max has been floor 11 chamber 2 for a longgg time 😩 but i still have a lot to improve on my characters tbh. also congrats on 36 stars katooo!!!
