      People would likely not understand. In space everything has the same top speed. It's acceleration that matters. They'd need to create a whole video just to explain that to most people.

      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate_SG-1#Collaboration_with_the_military
      And it was SUPER-SUCESSFULL (it improved greatly their reputation through the 10 years the show was on air); even today most of the relative increase on the percentage of inscriptions of young men & women cite this show as one of the reasons they choose US Air Force [instead of going to the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or the Coast Guard ].
      -> The new "Space Force" as an independent branch of the military was even sugested late on the show itself (eventually named "Homeworld Command" in the sequel series since it ended including also all other countries of Earth).

    • @adolfodef
      @adolfodef 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @injustice fellow Propaganda... maybe. But NOT brainwashing, since the scripts were not MADE by the USAF (they just had an "advisory" about practices and ethics based on their code of conduct helping the other writters; as only one of them came from that branch of the military).
      -> While there were MANY creative licenses, almost all episodes were well received by Sergeants & Generals (when they were asked how they would have approached the situations presented on those stories).

    • @bibletwink666

    Wow seeker, advertising is necessary, but maybe next time you'll consider the morality of it. I know you talk a great deal about space, but this is something that until recently we've been trying to claw back from the militaries of the world.
    I mean seriously, the US Airforce official motto, "We violate other people's airspace and international human rights agreements with gusto and firebombs (i.e. white phosphorous bombs, maybe you can do an episode on the science behind those bombs sponsored by the US Military too), all while promising yet failing to actually provide the economically disadvantaged with university opportunities and potential for career advancement. Go Murder, Go Lies, Go US Airforce."
    And cue bunch of blind patriots who are probably christians or myopic history geeks arguing that an organisation built for murder is somehow honorable or rational or worth celebrating...Support your veterans, they're usually victims too.

    Why does it need to be that fast/what were the reasons for the weight limitations? What are the current results of this experiment? Are solar flares a cyclical/seasonal event of the sun with accessory, predictive indicators like temperature gradients like a hurricane or is it more of a sudden event similar to an earthquake?
