    Most definitely a much healthier system up there compared to the Mackay area.
    My mate and i put 8 pots in at the Seaforth area 3 weeks ago, and over three days managed to bag 2 crabs, not good.
    Well, Brad, keep up the excellent videos👍, they keep me motivated to keep trying.!!!!!🦀🦀🦀

      Sounds like you put the hard yards in for your crabs. Hopefully the crabbing improves in your area over the coming months.
      Glad you enjoyed the video!👍

      Catching the crabs certainly didn’t break the bank or require too much time. It definitely tasted good cooked in clean seawater. Thanks for your support!👍

    Shit mate that was an awkward fall on your knee. Hope you're ok now. It's unreal where you can get a feed of muddies. You wouldn't think they would be just off the beach in shallow water. Another great video mate. 🦀🦀🦀

    Those dilly pots of yours seem much more effective than some of the larger ones available where you tie the bait down on the bottom. Have you found the same thing? Also seems as though the crabs get well caught up in the blue netting when you're retrieving the pots

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The dillies are very easy to use and have a good catch rate if checked often. The crabs do get caught in the mess quite often. This can be an advantage but requires a bit of patience to free the crab.Thanks for your comment!👍

    You have more crabs and you can select based on size, in our backwater very difficult to get and we eat whatever we get😀

    • @returnoutdoors2210
      @returnoutdoors2210  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are very strict rules regarding the taking of mud crabs in Queensland, Australia. I think these rules are very important for protecting mud crab numbers.
      Thanks for your comment!👍
