I'm on the fence with this game, the physics look abit on the arcady side, doesn't look as realistic as fh5 in terms of driving. Interested in your thoughts.
@siontheodorus1501 I was hoping it would become more realistic, in all honesty there's a gap in the market for an assetto corsa/sim open world game, fh5 is the most realistic free roam game we currently have.
Ohh man... where do I start 😅 I have mixed feelings about the game. On one hand I'm glad the crew went this direction (more realistic compared to their older versions) but having played it on a wheel I'm disappointed with its support. The ffb feels super weird. For a game that features up to 1080 degrees of in-game wheel rotation, it's not enjoyable with a wheel 😑. I don't have a big issue with it's physics I was expecting worse but this I do have an issue with.... The car sounds are sick tho, that's the main thing keeping me in the game. Gameplay wise it's fun. Way more fun than FH5. There's a lot of fun activities to do unlike in FH5 (just compare the donut media playlists from both these games and you'll know what I mean). The game still looks and feels like a beta version. A lot of things feel out of scale, like the stop signs for example. Also what happened to the pedestrians? The whole map feels empty when driving around, very few AI traffic and all you see are ghosts of online players... talking about online, I hate how it is always online. The traffic isnt even in sync for other players so I don't really see why it should be always online. I was constantly getting disconnected because of not having an ideal connection.
@Xpertgamingtech thanks for sharing your thoughts. From what I can see, it looks like all cars drift/slide as if they're awd. The cars do sound great, but a few minor details put me off like no mirror reflections, and the gear changes seem a little too much. And like all current open world driving games, the map has no life. At this point, I hope Gta6 has wheel support.

Need For Speed, Forza Horizon, and Motorfest all have really cheesy presentation with the robotic NPC's. Having avatars is pointless in a racing game unless there is a 3rd person on-foot gameplay component. No one wants to spend time looking at awkward character models in a racing game. The player most likely just wants to see cars and environment as much as possible and that's all.
Agreed. Maybe it's the lack of passion among the devs. Seems like they care just about making money. Just take a look at older nfs, till the nfs run, they had very well done cinematic cutscenes. Nfs run had so many cutscenes of the character interactions but none of them felt cringy. I don't know why these games have gone downhill.

well the crew aren't famous for their physics. But i guess it can deliver the need for speed that we wanted (in the japan race)
