@@heftyelf I knew the People’s Court was not actors and this is the first episode of her new show I have seen. It just didn’t seem as authentic as the “old show”. But I’m a fan of Judge MM so I’ll give it a chance.

@@trust1952 regardless of that fact, these issues are real. A person WILL threaten another with information that can ruin their life(high school at least), and extort them for items, drugs, cash, rides, etc. etc. Extortion happens even at a minimum level.

How dangerous is when a parent only blame others for children’s mistake or when they denied it.
It wasn’t her first time doing drugs - she heard about where to find them and kept at it. The young man should have never had them in his possession to begin with and even though he was reluctant to give them out, he gave in.
When the judge asked her if she knew the mg dosage or anything about the pills, the daughter didn’t care about that….she’s an addict. Addicts don’t care about that, it’s the amount they can do which apparently was more than she could handle.
Dad has a long road ahead if he doesn’t get her to some sort of rehab quick. No consequences yet (except for the OD) so why stop using? Dad gives her a house, TV, a place to sleep, food, heat, lights -she has Disneyland. One day it will become the highway to hell if nothing changes.
This is Perfect Proof that children live what they learn; my dad, blames others for HIS mess. I blame others for MY mess. Period!

In a Supernanny episode, I heard about the story of a mother whose son Cory was involved in a car accident at 17. The driver was impaired and they flipped their car 8 times going down the highway at 75 mph. Cory was ejected on the first roll. They took 2 1/2 months to intubate him and he sat in a coma for about 45 days. Cory now has to learn to live with seizures. He can't hold a stable job, he's on total disability, and he's going to be blind by his 30th birthday.
That dad’s delusion and attitude is what will continue to push his daughter towards attempting to harm herself.

Woah! I was skeptical when I first heard the defendants defense but the text messages are nasty! That girl needs serious help, not for her father to blindly defend her. Those text messages are crystal clear that she was desperate for those drugs and willing to do anything to get her hands on them. This does not sound like experimental use but that she has a serious problem.

I usually watch these shows as part value and part entertainment. Plus with this new format I'm not entirely sure if they use actors. But this one really got to me. The daughter is such a selfish, spoiled, manipulative, brat. And the father is beyond realizing what is going on, blaming others when we should be dealing with his own internal issues. And if the daughter has been doing drugs, and she OD'd once, unless she gets help, she will again. And it might be worse the second time/ Then who will the father blame? I've seen it happen, and it's not pretty.

Years ago I had 10 cc's of morphine and all it did was make my brain burn. Now over 50 years ago I had Demerol and you could walk out of that hospital😊
