My interpretation: Red was a calm person, one with a sense of adventure but also a sense of loss and emptiness. During one of their adventures, they meet Green: a soulmate, one who connected with Red in a way so rare in the world. Their love for one another was unmatched, and unwavering. However... Green held deep, darkness within them, one that proved their love was not warm enough to thaw the frozen depths of within them. During a fateful day out with Red, sheer emotion overwhelmed Green, and with no second thought, they threw themself over the edge. Unbeknownst to Green, Red witnessed the entire scene. Brought back by such shock, Red moved back from the edge of heartbreak, despair, and tried to flee as far as they could to escape the tragedy that had just occurred. Years later, Red had been trying to rekindle the spark within, the spark for adventure, the spark for life. They tried to do all the things they had once enjoyed. And luckily, one day while doing so, arrived Blue. Blue was a kind person, one with the kindest intentions. After a while, they grew to love each other, but it was not to last. Their love was not in sync, their emotions not properly connected, as if the life of Green still loomed over Red like a vivid nightmare that never ceased. Red attempted to lash out against the memories by trying to drown them out. They would try to run faster, try harder, and Blue would not leave their side no matter what. The attempts became stronger, more dangerous, more life threatening, and eventually, Blue would fall behind and join Green's fate through a fatal accident. Red, being scarred by this as well as Green's death, didn't know what else to do. They only had one thought. To run. Run as fast as they can, try and escape the ghosts of their past that haunted them, but to no avail. Red was always running from the memories of the past, but they were only travelling into the dark, and cold abyss. Not having any other choice, Red took their life. Perhaps, they thought, they would rejoin with their loved ones. Perhaps they would finally be at peace and no longer be endlessly tormented by the ghosts of the ones they most dearly cared about. They were wrong. Death was insidious. Death was bitter. Death was a cold grasp upon Red, deeming worse than the life they once had. The memories that red once found to be haunting became a vivid reality. Reliving the suffocating emotions once felt when Green and Blue died for all eternity, while Green and Blue shared the pain. Death was dark. Death was eternal pain. This is the tragic love story of Red, the Rider that once loved, and was stripped of all that they held closest to their heart.

Fantastic work! Do you have an image of the full layout? I think it would be awesome to see the "bigger picture" with the off-screen lines for the other riders.
Every one of these videos is an instant classic. You have an incredible talent for storytelling to be able to weave a compelling narrative out of a medium as abstract and esoteric as marble contraptions or line rider choreography. This should be shown in art schools.
This is engineering! Quite possibly the greatest feat of engineering next to putting man on the moon. And though I know I exaggerate, I don’t think it’s by much.
This is a piece of art, not only because of the perfect synch, but also because he uses the different riders as the different voice of the songs, which are like two people having a conversation.

This is the best visualisation of music I have seen:) Even for me as musician being a visual type it makes it so much more easy to attentively follow! I had to laugh so hard. So cutely ardent. This would be the ultimate model for silent movie piano and modern movie music.
I remember watching this in music class a few years back, and having a huge debate on which one of the sled people won. We decided it was red, considering that even though green made it first, they fell off. The debate lasted at least 5-10 minutes.
Holy cow!! I’m not usually a fan of line riders music videos but this is truly a work of art, a masterpiece! I’ve been playing classical music for more than a decade, rarely you get to see something that can visually transmit the feeling behind the notes... the combination between the physics and the music is brilliant, it makes so much sense. And the dialogue between multiple voices... just wow! Ended this with my mouth wide open in disbelief...
me too. it reminds me of a failed relationship, and when you quickly find somebody new you're hesitant at first. but you fall in love, and then the other person wants you back. so you let the other person back into your life and everything falls apart. LOL
At 0:00 you start your life At 0:45 you fall in love At 1:40 they die At 2:13 you fall in love again At 2:58 they die At 3:24 you think of both of them At 3:55 you become sick At 4:07 you think of them again and wonder if this is how they felt when they were dying At 4:15 you die peacefully. And then join both of them in heaven.
I think its more a metaphor of breaking up and moving on to a new relationship, and even if that new relationship is rocky they were together in the end and you finally forget about your ex.
The first set of hearts, when the first two fall in love, are close together, indicating that they fell in love around the same time. Then, for the second set of hearts, Red Scarf's comes slightly later, indicating they were hesitant, likely because of their fear and guilt from losing their first partner. Genius storytelling at work here.
I know that part of the symphony very well as I've listened to it countless times, but I've also watched this countless times, and every time I see some new nuance. Truly phenomenal.
+@@brisaquina8816 I don't know, but honestly, it's just become a meme now. It's not a very well written story, and most aren't going to love both since they seem to not want to love Twilight. I know there are much worse things, but the world isn't gonna change in a day. I never understood any YA novels and the hype behind them anyway, so that's why it's so easy for me to dislike it. I've always preferred graphic novels of any sort to romance and YA novels since I can see the visuals and read the story, and it's all how it's meant to be. I don't know why others stand where they stand though. I agree that the whole thing has become kind of ridiculous. But, I'm not gonna complain too much, since this is the most likes that I've ever received on a comment, at least to the best of my knowledge. You keep loving stories without comparison and being yourself. The world needs fewer critics and more people like you. Have a great day!
@@krysanthemum6528 And here I am, still trying to figure out what a meme is :') And what are YA novels? (I know, people think I have been living under a rock) But thanks for taking the time to write this whole message for me. I will indeed just keep loving stories. I never judge people on stories. It's your own taste after all. And as long as the author/producer/whatever-person-it-is does their best I will enjoy the story. Just like movie books. Or book movies. I don't compare them but see them separately it's a lot more fun that way. Cause you don't have to pause it every 5 min to criticize, you can just enjoy it. I hope there will be a day when everyone will just enjoy what there is without complaining and comparing :') Thanks again for taking your time for me. You have a great day too, and a great week month etc :D
@@brisaquina8816 Thanks for your message as well. While i can't really articulate any good definition for a meme, YA stands for Young Adult. A lot of novels aimed at that audience carry similar themes and such, so thought it's not a genre, it's still its own category.

Every one of these videos is an instant classic. You have an incredible talent for storytelling to be able to weave a compelling narrative out of a medium as abstract and esoteric as marble contraptions or line rider choreography. This should be shown in art schools.
This gave me a new appreciation for Beethoven's 5th, especially the oboe solo.

I love the story telling in this one, wow
me too. it reminds me of a failed relationship, and when you quickly find somebody new you're hesitant at first. but you fall in love, and then the other person wants you back. so you let the other person back into your life and everything falls apart. LOL
At 0:00 you start your life
At 0:45 you fall in love
At 1:40 they die
At 2:13 you fall in love again
At 2:58 they die
At 3:24 you think of both of them
At 3:55 you become sick
At 4:07 you think of them again and wonder if this is how they felt when they were dying
At 4:15 you die peacefully. And then join both of them in heaven.
Life in a nutshell
Did the green one get reborn or did he die in heaven?
The green one got sent down to Hell though.

Much much MUCH better love story than Twilight.
Why all the hate on Twilight? Can people just stop comparing things and just love them both?
