Boy what a bummer! I think it depends on where it has been stored, temperature, dry weather etc. I bought mine new over 10 years ago, and it’s still in mint shape! The jacket still looks great and hasn’t peeled! The figure itself looks amazing too! And after 9 years I decided to display it behind glass cabinet. So far I’ve been lucky with mine. But mine never sees the sun it’s always in a cooler room and away from windows. Sorry to see yours like that though! And even a second hand jacket from eBay will cost a small fortune!! I remember buying mine from sideshow for only $229 dollars. But now they’re reaching skyrocket prices! Good luck man! Great review!
Aside from the brittle pleather jacket this figure is a top ten when it comes to Hot Toys figures based on one of greatest Sci-Fi movies of all time ! NECA & Mafex did release some ultimate versions of the Terminators from the first two movies & that is a cheaper option, altough the quality on them is nowhere near the 1/6 scale Hot Toys figures.
@@12InchFigureFanatic This reminds me of a problem I have with the old Hot Toys Michael Keaton Batman from the first movie, his suit contains some kind of oil. When ever I take him out for a new pose I feel it sticking to the fingers, the back of him is the worst. I remember the early Christian Bale Batman figures from Dark Knight having the same issues. Im guessing they did this to extend the fabrics of the suits, so we don´t have them disolving over time. Of course a Hot Toys figure based on Michael Keaton from Batman Returns does exist & based on pictures & reviews online that suit did not have the same oil leeking inside (but that cape did decay over time) & it was a more flexible suit and figure. But I never bought it seeing that the first Batman suit is much cooler & more menacing, in my eyes at least. A Michael Keaton figure as Bruce Wayne in his regular suit & coat would be a better addition to the collection. In Batman Returns Batman is pretty much a side character in his own film & The Penguin & Max Schrek almost takes over the entire film.

this figure looks sick. i have the neca t-800 technior and police station assault.
I’ve been wanting to do a 16 scale diorama of the tech noir and I commissioned somebody else to do the police station for me.
What a blower they are expensive too. And I’m thinking of just finally getting one

I got mine from toys wonderland. They occasionally have some of the vintage stuff come through for a good price. Just get on their email list.
No where else but eBay! Good luck in finding one less than $480 dollars! The prices are to the roof on this one!
