Myanmar and Northeast India have quite a connection. The Chins with Mizos of Mizoram, Kukis of Manipur the Nagas of Nagaland and Myanmar, Arakan and Tripura. I am Khasi from Meghalaya and our language comes from the same family as the Mons of Myanmar. Northeast India also has a lot of insurgent groups like Myanmar. I hope things will get better and I wish peace to all the diverse ethnicities of Myanmar ❤
The Chin population is in the upwards of 1 million if I'm not wrong. Townships like Kale, Tamu, large parts of Sagaing, Magwe and metro cities have large Chin populations. Also Chin Diaspora in foreign countries like Malaysia, US, NZ are quite huge.
Bamar(majority burmese) can understand only Arakanese. Arakan language just like burmese dialect. But burmese speakers can't understand other sino-tibetan languages like Kachin(Jingpho), Kayin, Chin(Mizo) languages. Mon =similar to khmer language Shan =similar to Thai language. But most of all ethnics have to learn to speak burmese as official language
Yes and a No. We all can communicate if we use Burmese or English. Many ethnic groups are proficient in Burmese. Not many people are fluent in other ethnic languages but there are many people who are polyglot, fluent in more than 3 or 4 languages.
@@soeminnaing5600 but l showed one rakhine movie to one of my mog friend she said she can't understand the language but she told that they all belongs to Burmese races
@@purnimamarak8951 Arakanese language has many different dialects. Each region has a different accent and vocabulary is slightly different.Mogs from India are influenced by Indian accents, so it is a bit difficult for the people of Rakhine to understand, and the Rakhine language is also a bit difficult for Mogs to understand. But the vocabulary of Arakan, Marama, and Mog people is more than 90 percent the same. The main reason is that it is difficult to understand because of the accent.I understand almost 80% of Mog songs and movies
Nagas are part of chin in myanmar, you may not agree with this but the myanmar goverment recognise them as chin. The Chin are related to the Mizo and kuki of India as well ,if they come to myanmar and settle here they are automatically know as chin same thing with nagas.
Are Nagas included in chin ethic group then why?Nagas r Nagas why include them. Our brothers from Myanmar should fight for our real identity that's discrimination.Love from Nagas from Indian side.
@Ranjit Tyagi Im not Naga, you dolt. Im just pointing out this video is inaccurate bc Myanmar considers Naga and Chin as different. Myanmar only recognizes the biggest populated groups, which is why smaller groups like Naga, Wa, etc. are left out of discussion

Naga is counted as Chin. Myanmar Constitution recognizes only 8 Ethnic groups and because of Nagas closeness with Chin and many Nagas identifying themselves as Naga-Chin in East Chindwin,Naga are counted as Chin Nationality.
They didn't label the Rohingyas as one of the main ethnic group but they do belong in the others category considering how many are the product of migration and have resided in Myanmar for centuries.
Bro you are wrong. Not one culture each races or tribes have each culture and each language and another religion like Christian and many other that we don't know.
Thanks for your comment. These are what it is presented in general. We are planning to present many of the diverse cultures, languages and religions in Myanmar.
