Not sure that matters, and would like to know what your issue is. By the way I am 3rd generation Protestant Evertonian who goes to the match with 3 Catholics.
Everton came from St Domingo’s Methodist Church team. At the time Liverpool was founded by John Houlding a brewery owner, Freemason, member of the orange order & Conservative & Unionist Party the Everton board was mostly Temperance supporting Methodists who were also members of the Liberal Party & supported home rule for Ireland. John Houlding who was left with a football ground & no team after he quadrupled the rent & Everton moved across the park to Goodison made his friend John McKenna who was a fellow Freemason, member of the orange order & Conservative & Unionist Party the Team Manager. John McKenna had lots of Masonic & Orange links to Scotland & recruited most of the Team from there. The first team had 9 Scotsmen 7 of whom names began with Mac & are forever known as the Team of Macs. So no Everton are not a Catholic Team but LFC was born out of Freemasonry, Orange Order, Conservative & Unionism & I wonder why so many Irish support them but that is Kopites for you The Are Shameless.
