My Grandparents from the Big Island always warned us about the Warrior Spirits who are always watching over the land. There were many rock covered burial mounds throughout my Grandfather’s Coffee/MacNut farm. I myself have had encounters with some of the spirits and also what the Hawaiians call a menehune. It’s such a beautiful place, but definitely EXTREMELY haunted!😊

I live very close to the Grotto (been meaning to go), and I’ve been to the Hoh, as an older kid. I don’t recall anything paranormal occurring, but it was mid day and there were plenty of people around, and we didn’t go off trail or anything adventurous (or foolish) like that. It was quite impressive, however, for the obvious reasons of it being an amazing nature preserve. Actually, some of the creepiest experiences I’ve had have been in buildings built during the past century and/or in settings you wouldn’t expect to have a paranormal experience in. I have had a couple of experiences in more stereotypical settings, but not as many as you might expect. I’ve even seen a full apparition, and she looked almost exactly like a normal person, but on the sidewalk on a Spring evening (and then the same entity again later on the walk). Yep, you never know when or where you’re gonna have something paranormal happen, but I think that adds some fun to it.

Thank you for the video. The Grotto reminds me of Lourdes, in France.

Been to Manoa Falls trail twice and The Ghotto many times but never felt creepy. Idk maybe when you expect something scary beforehand then your mind might play with you.
