6 am here in France, watching your's and Tim's video in bed with a cafetiere of coffee - all that grilled bacon and black pudding I must go downstairs and light the wood fire to cook breakfast! you have made me hungry
That was a learning video sorry to see that Tim got wet when it was cold and had to abandon ship and walk back in the dark in the middle of that storm. Well thanks again John for the video and we will see you next week.
Oh my God Carlisle you and Tyson never ever ever let me down you have the best videos it's like a movie for me it's part of my life I love this so much and I will start donating as soon as I get my debit card with my PayPal account set up cuz I just love your videos they're awesome I'll be more than happy to I want to God bless both of y'all and get Tim Strait peace out
Hi John and Mr Tyson thanks for the vlog I look forward to your camp's every week and very much appreciate what your doing. Hope you're next camp is as epic as the last.
I hate that about laces on your shoes...They never last so you have to keep buying more...! Ridiculous..awesome that you go out in any weather and don’t let a “little” thing like a storm with gale force winds stop you. Your the man!
Wow I thought it was going to be called carry on camping ! Yet again great to watch as to be said you got guts n balls in that storm I salute the 3 of you !
That wasn`t a storm, just an inconvenience. I`ve seen you laugh at the face of a hail storm lol. March is coming in like a Lion, and will be leaving soon like a lamb. Thank You for sharing your video, and bringing us along. ATB
I hammock camped on the river esk in Edinburgh from Friday to Sunday the wind's were brilliant my DD 4x4 tarp held up great thanks for sharing your content 👍
it was a bit of a blustery storm! Good to see you out and about again. I think Tim made the right call going home. He could have easily got hypothermia the way that wind was blowing, and his hammock was already soaking. Glad you see you survived the fury of Freya.
Great video big guy. Love the that weather doesn't seem like it is a problem for you. Glad to see you out with your gear putting it to the test. Keep it up. :)
Nice one bro! I headed out and just got back, the storm wasn't much here down south around London, the remnance of the wind finally died off last night just as I was getting wrapped up in the sleeping bag and wool blanket. Cheers man, can't believe I took this long to hit that sub button!
I love the riverbank camp the village is still the best but you’ve been to another camp I think it’s real far away it looks like it’s in a real old wooded area I really like that one as well ,so here am I tucked up in bed and you’re frying ham again and it looked great,I think Tyson was a bit scared of the wind though but it looked great despite the weather so stay safe from Scotland
John I use para cord for my boots it’s much stronger! Love a good storm camp, I remember last year I did 3 days in the Scotland and lakes when the beast from the east was here, narrowly escaped death by a falling tree 10ft away! Adapting to adverse situations is what camping wild is all about, bet your arses were twitching though when the tarps were flapping about Lol
Years ago I went walking everyday and the weather had nothing to say about it,my neighbors thought me crazy when they saw me out in blizzards. When they asked me why I said it is a different world when you are out in rough weather. Everyone goes to the beach on nice sunny days but how about a stormy one? It’s a different world out there folks so try it. 😁
The seasons are all messed up here in England ....the flowers come out and buds and then we get a harsh frost that will finish them off ...the bees don't know what they are doing ....the winters are mild and the summers are shit lol......tbh we had a good summer last year...consistent hot days ...it hadn't been like that for years
Dang that was wild and the water sure came up fast. To bad about Tim's hammock. That had to suck in that weather to walk all the way back in it and the pitch dark. Debris camp might have been a better place. Still a great video
Remember back when storms werent dramatized, they were just storms? Ha. Good vid. Only prob is, every vid of yours makes me hungry for some reason. Good eats.
I don’t eat breakfast often, just not hungry when i get up usually. However, I’m pretty sure if I ever went campin with you I would NOT skip any meals! 😂
Now Survival Russia has a tank...what you gonna counter with fella! Good to see you out in the rough weather, I loved being warm and dry under a tarp in the wind and rain. Charlie UK 🇬🇧
Great time out with the boys. You guys always seem to make a good time out of a crappy day.The seasons are changing here in the states quickly,so calm days will be limited a days become short. Do you guys have anything planned for winter? Thanks for sharing
Great camp... With with all the holes burned into your tarps. Maybe you need a welding blanket or fiberglass blanket covering/replacing your tarp. 2m x 2m. On amazon.
And don’t forget weather for Tyson as well! That was some Epic weather y’all got. A little bit of everything. Sorry about Tim hammock getting wet. Hope you are going to go back to the larger camp and see what your doing to add or change. I love Tyson. Where’s his jumper? Do you plan on putting more wooden walls for this riverbank camp I wonder? That was some heavy wind you had the first night. Can’t wait to see the next one. Take care til then.
Awesome video mate same thing happened with my friend and his daughter when they joined the their tarps together as a setup last year at the bushcraft show but it made a big puddle. He had to bail it out with a canteen cup haha. I reckon if it was a normal run of the mile tarp it would've ripped and dumped water all over his daughter but it was a DD so it just how's how good the brand is
With the big, blazing fires you guys have, I can see why you get excited over firewood. As a Southerner, that chicken may be label southern fried chicken, but it's not. It's simply breaded chicken breast. No offense, it is what it is. Come to South Carolina and I'll give you real southern fried chicken. "Tyson chewing wood, all's right with the world." LOL. If Tyson isn't chewing wood, something is wrong. Food was excellent looking, as expected. What a storm! Rain, hail, sleet, winds - nothing can stop Carlisle195. I think you live for such adventures.
Yo John. To cut down on the wind noise, you should grab a Samson Go Mic. It has up to 13hrs of battery life, and you can be as far away as 100ft from your camera.
I suppose you would have been 'up to your ankles' in groundwater at the village, but the shelters would have protected you well from the wind. Ah well, adversity is part of the outdoors life! Sorry Tim's set-up didn't withstand the storm. You lot got a good bit of everything on this one.
GORGEOUS COUNTRYSIDE!!!!! HOW did your hammock get wet??? was the rain "driving" that bad? (wind blown rain)... or was it a leak from above? OR did you NOT put a drip KNOT in the ties from the trees???
It looks like your tarps would melt being so close to the fire. Surprised the tarps didn't fly off with those winds, wow. I hope the winds didn't destroy the village. Tyson was like don't stop petting me. Do y'all name all of the storms that blow through or just the big ones? We only name the hurricanes here. I was just wondering because I have seen several of your vlogs where you named the storm system.
Just want to say thank you for the wonderful videos and also just wondering why you stopped making longer videos. Enjoy what you do on your trips. Just wish they where longer than 20 or 30 minutes episodes.
Carlisle 195 , what's the name of the river you cross over and fish just that some of your videos look familiar as I lived in Carlisle for a few years in the 80s I think it's the Caldew. Enjoy your videos, all the best, can't wait for the next one.

That was quite the storm. Glad you put the old DD tarp up as a wind block. Loved the adventure. Sorry about Tim getting wet. Until the next go.
Oh my God Carlisle you and Tyson never ever ever let me down you have the best videos it's like a movie for me it's part of my life I love this so much and I will start donating as soon as I get my debit card with my PayPal account set up cuz I just love your videos they're awesome I'll be more than happy to I want to God bless both of y'all and get Tim Strait peace out
Brilliant glad you enjoyed it and thanks so much for watching
Hi John and Mr Tyson thanks for the vlog I look forward to your camp's every week and very much appreciate what your doing. Hope you're next camp is as epic as the last.
Nice one thanks for watching
Wow that wind was howling. Your dogs well behaved. Love staffies. I love bullterriers too, But wow there expensive.
Another belter John. A little bit of wind and rain is no problem to a good old Northern boy.
As usual great looking food! Nice to see you checking for widow maker too, glad you had a safe trip.
Yeah I normally no all my camps are safe for falling trees but In wind like that it’s good to check again
Yikes . That was scary.Poor Tyson he looked nervous. Love him. Well done.

Great vlog, Tyson needs a rain coat. LOL !

You guys have flowers blooming and we have 3 feet of snow and 11°F!!!! I'm so jealous! I'm in Washington state by the way. Say hi to Tyson for me!❤❤❤

Great that you camp regardless of the weather.
Dang that was wild and the water sure came up fast. To bad about Tim's hammock. That had to suck in that weather to walk all the way back in it and the pitch dark. Debris camp might have been a better place. Still a great video
Like you camping adventures.

Epic
liking the beard John.
Mad weather for camping... great adventure though.
I have it on good authority Tim and John had a vicious midnight brawl over the last of the caramelized red onion sausages :)
Tyson: Excuse me John, I'll let you know when you have scratched me enough! LOL!!!!
nice video👍
cheers for the upload john all the best
Tyson - ""human did i say you could stop stroking me?""

What a storm! Rain, hail, sleet, winds - nothing can stop Carlisle195. I think you live for such adventures.
Have same problem with boot laces and is why I now use paracord to lace mine.
Cool will do the same
Yo John. To cut down on the wind noise, you should grab a Samson Go Mic. It has up to 13hrs of battery life, and you can be as far away as 100ft from your camera.
550 paracord will fix those boots right up John.
A tent will be better with so many wind, I can not sleep like this. But a good weekend for you.. Cheers
I suppose you would have been 'up to your ankles' in groundwater at the village, but the shelters would have protected you well from the wind. Ah well, adversity is part of the outdoors life! Sorry Tim's set-up didn't withstand the storm. You lot got a good bit of everything on this one.

Cranston's Sausage? If so there's one 1/2 mile from me. :¬)

Great video, I knew you'd be out there in that if you had a chance. Pity Tim got wet :(
You could have forged a sword in that fire LOL. Cheers
Paracord makes an excellent replacement lace.
Yer a bugger for punishment lad.

Carlisle 195 , what's the name of the river you cross over and fish just that some of your videos look familiar as I lived in Carlisle for a few years in the 80s I think it's the Caldew. Enjoy your videos, all the best, can't wait for the next one.
