The final boss was....well, to be hones, everything is easy in this game, Ryuji was just a bad fight, the only good things about him were his theme and qte's, i don't know about the moveset beccause i alwasy finished him before he could pull up some interesting moves, his first fight was way better.

Set too far after 0. You need Yakuza -1 where you play as four lieutenants who aren't corrupted by wrath (Kuze), avarice (Awano) or envy (Shibusawa). The final character is either Shimano or Kazama, and you are fighting the Little Asia wars and a conspiracy to bring down the Tojo. No Millenium tower splodies though :(

Actually Tachibana was sorta mentioned in a substory where you could choose his name as one of the three multiple choices (which also happens to be the correct answer). The nod to Tachibana comes when Kiryu afterwards thinks to himself afterwards that "he could never forget a name like that"
I introduced a friend to the series last year and he's played from 0 all the way up to Like A Dragon. Ever since 5, he's always streamed the last chapter(s) so me and another friend can watch, and we can just share our thoughts and such. The funniest fucking thing was seeing his reaction to THE BOAT in Yakuza 6. I was watching him take it all in, going from "Oh this is neat" with the MGS style reveal to "This is so unbelievably fucking stupid" in real time. Absolutely priceless.

Secondly, how tf does a (not that good) score determine its popularity? Even obscure games get rated in that way.

I'm probably the only one that didn't feel that way about it, Japan covering up something like that after the end of WW2 would cause problems, but then again something like that wouldn't translate well to a western audience so I get why people say it's underwhelming.

holy shit i'm the Yakuza 6 fan. I was telling my dad (a sorta WWII buff) about the game and the Battleship Yamamoto MK 2 plot point and he was a little lost on why it'd be such a big deal.... I fucking.... screamed abit cause, well... "thought you knew they weren't supposed to have that after the war, dad..."
