    The "Unit Circle" is a circle with a radius of 1. The centre is put on a graph where the x-axis and y-axis cross.

    I understood everything but how do you know how long the tangent line should be? Is it because the requirement is that it should only touch one point on the circle and therefore, if you make it longer (changing the angle it touches the circle at,) it would end up crossing into the circle -hitting two points? So is the tan line physically impossible to be bigger or smaller while remaining in that spot?

    Hey sir, i have a doubt. You said that if theta increases, tan value incerases. But if theta is 90 degrees, why tan 90 is not defined?

    • @harshitaranjan8545
      @harshitaranjan8545 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is because when the value of theta is 90 degrees, the length of cos theta is just limited to the centre. So, the length of sin theta is 1 unit and the length of cos theta is 0, as you can observe in the figure. As you must already be knowing that tan theta = sin theta / cos theta = 1/0 which is not defined.

    • @4everThoughtful
      @4everThoughtful 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ANY number divided by 1 is the number itself. The OB is the radius AND the radius is equal to ONE. {So Sine theta is: AB/OB = AB/1 = AB; Cosine theta is: OA/OB = OA because OA/1 = AO.} Hopefully, you had understood the answer before now.
