First there’s a heartbeat, then comes the clocks, machinery and the obscure talking/laughing madmen... then a screaming eagle takes you and all of a sudden you find yourself under the ocean listening to whales. I fucking love this song
So here's the sounds heard in order: Heartbeat (heard in Eclipse) Ticking clocks (heard in Time) Cash register, coins clink (heard in Money) Helicopter noise (heard in On the Run) Laughing (heard in Brain Damage) Screaming (heard in The Great Gig in the Sky)
I cant explain how i feel when i listen to this song its like im longing for something .. i dont even know , i just feel ...... hypnotized by such AMAZING music. thanks pink floyd.
I have the LP. From 1973. Posters too. Hanging in my parent's basement, from when I lived there. Best part of the album right here. Saw them the year before while in the Navy '72.
Wow I was just getting a badass trip there just lying back in my chair with my headset on, turning the sound up and flying for 8 minutes... Wow Pink... You're the best!
Pink floyd is the only band that I could find my inner self into. It gives me so much peace, tranquility and always connect to'em through their songs. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EXISTING
Best band ever...All 14 of ther studio albums are brilliant. Even though each albums is different from the last it has a common thread that ties them all together...The ending was epic, and the encore (Live 8) was legendary....there isn't many things that I will be able to say that I true love during my time on this planet BUT one of those things is that I do love Pink Floyd
this is totally phychadelic i just wish i was born in like 1954 so i could have a sick summer of 69' and be going to these sick concerts live and doing acid with a bunch of friends and tokeing it up on some great mary jane then just rocking out to the phychadelic sound
This is nothing short of AWESOME!!! One thing I love about Pink Floyd: They always seem to have a good time. It's great to listen to when you have headsets.
1973 a great year for classic rock Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Led Zeppelin House Of The Holy Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon The Who Quadrophenia Wings Band On The Run Lynyrd Skynyrd Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd Bruce Springsteen The Wild The Innocent And The Wild Street Shuffle Rolling Stones Goats Head Soup Allman Brothers Band Brothers And Sisters Genesis Selling England By The Pound
What I like about Pink Floyd is that it gives us a true voyage, trip as you may call it, right into the depth of human existence, exploring it's emotions which have been built along time, through our experience and desires but at the same appealing, pushing its natural instincts, creating (and this is the main word) a mixture between the real and the virtual, which is actually our reality, or surreality. If God created it all, then why does Art belong to Mankind?
You dont have to inhale smoke anymore, you can use a vaporizer and just vaporize the THC direct from the buds. No smoke just sweet warm air full of goodness.
Some 15 years ago I tried to listen to DSOM completely in the dark... I couldn't make it past 'Time'. I turned the lights back on immediately and stopped the record. It's the best album ever, but it's fuckin scary that way.
this album is the whole reason that synths guitars bass drums and vocals and weed exist!!!! also probably one of the main reasons humans and creatures have ears!!!
@absoluteGODhatred becuase if u play wizard of oz and darkside of the moon at the same times some part sync up and fit whats happening i also have this on vinyl
@nokturnaltotman1994 bought all their albums 15 years ago.... problem is, CD's don't last in time even if you're careful.... So fuck it, i'm downloading!
The transition from breathe to on the run is a masterpiece these motherfuckers were opening portals through music.
First there’s a heartbeat, then comes the clocks, machinery and the obscure talking/laughing madmen... then a screaming eagle takes you and all of a sudden you find yourself under the ocean listening to whales. I fucking love this song
To me I feel like I got launched into space and the travel at a insane speed past the planets in our solar system as I watch the universe around
Arguably the most psychedelic part of Dark Side of the Moon
Yea either this or any colour you'd like
This album ( and band): a life changer for more than a generation.....
That's so true.
My parents introduced me to this and was played heavily in my house and still is today
truth
breathe is literally the coolest, chillest, most perfect song i have ever listened to.
the only good thing in my day today was listening to this song.
When I feel bad this song right here speaks to me and makes it all better
Can say that again 😴
Life sucks and it only gets worse.
You my homie. You just don’t know it yet.

I love how Speak To Me plays sounds effects you’ll hear later in the album
So here's the sounds heard in order:
Heartbeat (heard in Eclipse)
Ticking clocks (heard in Time)
Cash register, coins clink (heard in Money)
Helicopter noise (heard in On the Run)
Laughing (heard in Brain Damage)
Screaming (heard in The Great Gig in the Sky)
I love how it's like that. So different, every other album are just lots of different songs, this is one, long, mindblowing song.
I cant explain how i feel when i listen to this song
its like im longing for something .. i dont even know , i just feel ...... hypnotized by such AMAZING music. thanks pink floyd.
This is the only version I could find where the uploader didn't cut off Breathe abruptly.
Same for me. I wonder why that seems to happen? Maybe it's a processing issue, or they're just too stupid to realize when the song ends.
Breath and in the run go to together
Different titles same song
Same for us and then and any color you like and also brain damage and eclipse and also time and great gig in the sky
Heeyy, I see what you are doing...
drugs for floyd or not... they are without doubt the most chill and laid back and just awesome band in history.
Breathe in the bliss! :)

Wow I was just getting a badass trip there just lying back in my chair with my headset on, turning the sound up and flying for 8 minutes... Wow Pink... You're the best!

I... swear... that, that triangle is moving.
Pink floyd is the only band that I could find my inner self into. It gives me so much peace, tranquility and always connect to'em through their songs.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EXISTING
I was dumbfounded when I first heard this song, was like getting high for the first time..

I don't like the Waters-less Floyd for some reason. That much I know
Not a big fan of Piper at the Gates of Dawn, not much of a Barrett-fan, but all of their other albums I agree with!
I love Piper
great song
A brilliant and artful use of the synthesizer. Not easy to do.
this is totally phychadelic i just wish i was born in like 1954 so i could have a sick summer of 69' and be going to these sick concerts live and doing acid with a bunch of friends and tokeing it up on some great mary jane then just rocking out to the phychadelic sound

Good thing i don't do drugs, because on the run is trippy enough already.

Been there, hated that. I’m trying again with mushrooms right now
