    To Neumann, would love to see a video all about the loudspeaker manufacturing and design in the factory. Would be great video to watch, seeing how the mid range drivers are built and made, how the different low frequency drivers are designed and manufactured and how the tweeters are all assembled!

    Awesome video.
    Favourite episode so far
    I love how he’s making it as simple as possible because The amount of videos I’ve seen in the past Are always you have to have this, you have to have that which is intimidating especially those with really tight budgets.
    If all I really need is stuff around the house
    And just a few acoustic panels which I’d make mine portable cause house rule of not screwing too many things to the wall.
    I feel so much more confident
    Eg,
    I have a built in robe filled with tons of clothes so there’s my vocal
    Booth.
    I have open planned living so there’s my live/recording room though i still have to figure out the mixing area cause it’s a shared property so headphones in a quiet room for now

    Great tips. Thank you. My room is much smaller but seems like i naturally followed some of your advice before watching this video. A pair of KH80's is on the way and will replace a paid of Yamaha HS5 + HS8S. Could you let me know which speaker mounts you've used in this video? Want to mount them on the wall - i have the brackets already that allows me to place a speaker but i like the clip mount as in this video.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, this video uses our LH 65 Table Stands, however if you are looking for something as a wall mount we recommend our LH 32 Wall Bracket. You can also have a look on our KH 80 product page for a suitable bracket under the point "Accesssoires".

    How does placing broadband absorbers directly behind speakers compare to placing them more around the listening position, such as putting bass traps in the corners, and broadband treatment above and on either side of the listener? Would this method excessively dampen bass from rear-ported monitors and would it offer any protection against vertical standing waves that otherwise would be treated by a cloud? Thanks for the fantastic video as always.

  • @danielkarsten1579
    @danielkarsten1579 ปีที่แล้ว

    To measure the distance from the wall to the monitors/speakers, do I measure from the back of the speaker to the wall or from the woofer center to the wall? I've searched everywhere on the internet but nobody goes into those details.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Daniel, as shown in the video, the distance was measured between the wall and the rear of the loudspeakers.

    For monitoring, would you recommend the same minimum distance from the wall when using the larger Neumann KH 310s?

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Paul, we recommend the following listening distances for the KH 310s: 0.75 m (2.5’) - minimum; 1.0 - 2.5 m (3’ - 8’) - recommended; 6 m (18’) - maximum. We hope this helps!

    FLEXILOW

    I bought for 2 months a Neumann U87 AI and since few days i hear a noisy wind sometimes less and sometimes even more it’s really annoying at the beginning was quiter with great sound but now im use it only for streaming for recording is not suitable
    Can you tell me please how i should go with this problem?
    Happy new year.

    • @GeorgNeumannGmbH
      @GeorgNeumannGmbH  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! We're very sorry to read that! Have you examined your signal chain and your general recording environment (ventilation / radiator?) that might have caused the noise? Please do so and if you don't find anything suspicious, kindly get in touch with your local service point: en-de.neumann.com/distributors.

    hilfreiche Tips, allerdings wird man in vielen Räumen, vor allem kleinen, vermutlich nicht ohne Absorber an der Decke auskommen. Bassdröhnen entsteht einfach zu schnell und early reflections sind in kleinen Räumen gerne zu dominant.
