Wow the emu having fun in the pond was wild, they should have the opportunity to do this more often!
That was neat watching the swimming Emu, thought they were desert animals, learn stuff every video.
@@jurrerincker3255 tell him that. I think someone lied to him and told him that he was a water animal.
Emus live in eucalyptus forest, woodland, heathland, shrublands, and sand plains. Emus are found in desert areas ONLY AFTER heavy rains have caused the growth of herbs and grasses and heavy fruiting of shrubs. Not all of Australia is desert you watch too many movies, that's like saying all of Africa is dried grasslands when in fact it is 40% rainforest 60% dried grasslands. In Australia, the desert covers a little more than 20% with the other 75-80% made up of forest, woodlands, etc. I have friends that live in Australia and they have shown me Emus swimming in the ocean water near the beaches never going deeper than what they can touch with their feet but others have seen them cross and swim in big rivers while they were kayaking many times in the Murry River. Emus in fact love the water and never really go too far from any water source and yes they aren't waterfowl like a duck or goose but they still like the water just like a crane isn't a waterfowl but yet they spend 50% of their time in or near water and not just to get food.

Hey Blake! Love your videos. For the wet spot, try planting papyrus plant. They will soak up any moisture from the land, look great and also provide cover and nesting areas for water fowl. Keep up the great work. 😊👍
Yeah for lots of great plants! The emu takes the cake. Hilarious bath, all he needed was a towel and bar of soap lol

Willow Trees are amazing in wet lands ect there also grate for stock food and medical care they have many uses and look amazing
You should definitely get some bushes and trees with fruits for the birds. And the food that the birds don’t eat will go down to the capybaras and the turtles if they want some. This is looking beautiful so far!!!! I can’t wait to see it when all the gorgeous birds and other animals are in it!!!!
Aw loved seeing the Emu in the water. Another channel I watch has an Emu an he loves water to. Doesn't matter how cool it is out he will lay in the kiddie pool that they have filled up for him everyday. Blake needs to at least get a kiddie pool for the emus. Cant wait to see the cappys in their new pond.

Your thingy rebober could be made from nut and fruit trees provide foods that they eat in the wild
That emu was mint in the pool having a good bath in future occasionally get a hose pipe on them might be a little itchy off the dust or something else lol

Do Japanese Maple trees grow in Florida? That would look so awesome on the right side of the pond, maybe creating a canopy over the path. You should get some giant fern trees too. Very prehistoric looking and would be so cool.

Blake you should watch white house on the hills TH-cam channel and check out their aviary build because you said your aviary is the biggest in the private sector but I think theirs is bigger, but your aviary looks great so far cannot wait until its fully finished
