HI, I'm planning to get the HD version probably the DC version, because I'd like to make some smooth cinematic lines and turns. I've got a gopro9 that I've mounted on a DJI FPV for some testing. Post I'm using RSGO to get smooth footage, but I found that my footage were kind of blurry. Settings for the gopro were those seen on some YT video about the topic. 4K/50 4/3 Large No Stab, Iso 100/100, Shutter 1/100, WB 5500K, Bitrate high, sharpness low + ND32 filter ... Flight time is about 4'30" to 5' ... quite the same as you .. Would you be kind to post the settings you've used for your gopro9 on top off this quad... Thanks for the good review .. :)
Hey Jean, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you are doing everything right. I do use the same settings except I shoot in 30FPV and 1/60SS with ND 32. Can you send me an example of the blurry footage so I can analyze it? You can email me if you prefer. my address is in my about section and also on my site. @@AdventureFPV Thanks for the reply! I noticed that in your configuration you have it disabled. Today my Evoque arrived here and it seemed strange to me that there was no RSSI signal .. In all my drones this signal is always present .. I would not want something to have gone wrong
wow this seems to be the first review of F5 evoque out in the internet haha thanks for the info. I am trying to get F5X squashed x frame though since this frame is more suitable for freestyle maneuver. Is 16:9 60 fps ok for playing around? also that rig protection wall thing i think is blocking the wind for cooling vista unit. No issue for this? I wish iflight gives you F5X X non DC version to review haha
@@freespirit2129 Yeah I wish they would give me one too LOL. The x frame would be better for acro for sure. But I already have an X and wanted a DSC. Looks great my guy!! The new Evoque does look pretty slick. I’m not normally one for putting all the LEDs on my quads, but I do think the Evoque looks really cool. Hey there Mateja thanks for watching. I think your eyes might be playing tricks on you. I watched the part at 7:14 about 5 times and I am looking at my quad right now I can say 100% my quad is props out. This is how my drone was delivered and I have not changed that. Hope this helps.

Will the Dji goggle V2 get unbound to the Dji FPV drone when binding it to the Caddx (Nazgul) such that it needs to get rebound? In other words, does the goggle need to get rebound when switching from one drone to the other?
Hey there, welcome to the hobby. I am not sure about the DJI FPV as I do not own one. But I can tell you I have 10 FPV drones and they do NOT get unbound when connecting a new drone. I just turn on the drones and they work. No rebinding is needed.
I use the DJI goggles v1 and v2... I also just use the DJI Remote as it binds to all my air units and vistas. But any ELRS remote wold be great as well. This is the remote I use: amzn.to/3TRda1d
Not sure yet. Honestly, I was in the mark for a DC-style drone and this popped up in my feed so I jumped at it. I have both quads and love them both. Nice setup but don't dig the covers on the electronics...I would never cover up the Vista. Especially in a crash/retrieve situation. The vista gets soooo hot while you are digging through a tree or bushes trying to get to this thing.
Yeah that was my thought too. That's why I said at the end of the video it might be Overkill but it looked cool. Only time will tell my friend. Happy flying
I am a Nazgul owner definitely a fan . My only observation would be around the side plates lit up they look pretty good however do they have an effect on cooling the Vista? Keep us posted. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you for watching and commenting about this. You are not the only one with this concern. I will post an update if I run into issues. So far so good though.
It's a year late but no, leds don't produce much waste heat and these are diffused by a fairly large mass relative to the output. They use such a small amount of power it's hardly worth shutting them off if you want max max max punch
I'm thinking of buying this as my first FPV drone. I want to get into FPV flying. Do you know if the props get in the way of the GoPro footage for the x style frame? Or is it just the caddx? Also, for this setup, is it just the DJI goggles, the controller, and drone (no receiver)? Looks like a ton of fun and amazing footage is possible.
Hey there Seth, thanks for reaching out. If you use a low camera angle, Hyper smooth or reelsteady go, yes you will get props in view on the GoPro from time to time because the gopro will use the ENTIRE sensor to stabilize. You can see it with the RZR footage in this video. If you do decide to buy it consider using my link in this description as I get a small kick back if you do.
@@AdventureFPV Perfect, so the goggles, drone and controller should be enough (from your gear affiliate links)? Also, what's the difference between mode 1 and mode 2 controllers? Are those the same or different?
I'm trying to decide between 4s and 6s. Any reasons you chose the 4s version? I mainly shoot for cine type stuff not hardcore fpv tricks. Thought maybe the 6s would just be more handy with the extra power, but could make it tough to control the way I need it to.
Honestly I went with 4S because when I started flying 11 months ago that was the batteries and chargers I went with. And I did not want to buy a bunch more gear for 6s. Granted you will get more flight times and Power on 6s but like you said I fly cinematic and don't really care for the extra power. I know you can dial it down to the settings but it's just one more thing you have to fiddle with. If I want longer flight times I've been using lithium ion batteries and get between 8 to 10 minutes on a 4S and I've been very happy with that.
@@AdventureFPV I've read the specifications for the evoque 4s and it says that you can use 6s batteries on them, is that true? also the lithium ion sounds good tho, thanks for the heads up! i'll get the 4s version for the same reason as you, i have 10 4s battery packs and i don't want to spend a lot more money on 6s.
@@AdventureFPV it’s basically another step that’s needed to arm the quad. It stops you accidentally arming it while holding it. I know you have throttle lock, but sometimes you can also accidentally lower the throttle, especially after a landing when the throttle will be down anyway. It’s usually done on a temporary switch that resets itself, but the DJI controller doesn’t have this. I was thinking of assigning it to the beeper switch to remind me to turn it off again after arming. So you would basically turn on the beeper, then arm, then turn off the beeper again. You can assign the switches in Modes tab in Betaflight. If it comes with a GPS you should set up GPS rescue and assign the rescue to a switch too. Good luck.
@@theprisoner6666 Hey thank you so much for taking the time to answer that question. I will think about how I would do it with my current switch configuration
If you get imto fast acro flying and hard acro manuvers you will not be happy with performance of dead cat frames. But if the great footage is your only goal you are fine!
Quick tip … Rather than buying a new qwad just stick a ten dollar ND filter on your GoPro and double the shutter speed of that of your frame rate So 30fps -1/60 shutter Your props will disappear like magic Any frame any camera angle! 👍
@@AdventureFPV 😂👍 I could see them too, but they were blurred, so they didn’t look too bad. But the deadcat is defo a better option for cinematic stuff.
i don't understand what's wrong with you... you're flying 5 inch with 0 camera angle))) if you are normal 15' on fpv and 20-25 on hd camera and there'll be absolutely no props in hd footage)) and after nazgul true x frame you'd better try apex frame(don't waste your money for the label, you could buy apex frame from readytosky). I had both nazgul v4 and v5, what I liked about this that they changed geometry of the framy but it flies exactly the same: just normal. But apex gives you some magic feeling. It's muuuch more responsive especialy on roll. It gives you exact that feeling when you could fly straight slowly like a cinewhoop but when you need some hard moves it gives it to you and it's great pleasure. I'll never return back to true x frames.
Sorry to offend you, I didn't know my choices in gear were such a big deal to you. You can spend your money on what you like and I will do the same. FYI There is no "RULE" on the camera angle. You can fly at whatever angle you like. If you actually watched the video you would see that I do not film in "HD" I film in 4K 4:3, do you know what that is? You would have to set a 30 deg angle to completely get rid of the props when filming with 4:3. I also use Reelsteady and it uses the entire 4:3 space to stabilize meaning the props get put into frame from time to time. You can see an example of this with the RZR Footage in my review. Not sure why people get so bent out of shape about other people's gear. I guess it's the same reason half the world is running around with masks on and the other half is not. No need to push your "Quad Beliefs" on others. Happy Flying???

The music track was lowered to -18DB with a low freq cutoff applied, next time I will be more aggressive with lowering the volume, thanks for the advice. And just so you know a voice put together by an algorithm would be the very definition of a robot voice. No problem with the free advertising, I think once people land your YT channel or click the link to your "Website" they will be really impressed and subscribe right away or use the 20% off first order link for the unknown products and services you offer. You are cool man ! :) Like your videos very much!! :)
THank you so very much. That means a lot.
Just got this quad for my first. I will say the quad is awesome, but iflight cheaped out on the included stuff. I only got 1 antenna. My props did not come on the spindle holder like yours did, and the worst of all, my quad was not shipped in the cutout foam like yours and every other reviewer I have seen receieved. Mine was shipped in an injection molded plastic holder. Also several of the 3d printed parts that are green on the one you demonstrated to use here, are black on mine.
That is strange, seems like they changed things up during production. I know they have been shipping a lot of these bad boys.

Nice video. I’m new to fpv just got the dji fpv system. Can I use my transmitter and goggles on the inflight like you? Also can I use my Mac computer to update and configure like you? Also my transmitter is the newer one.
Hey there Welcome to the hobby, yes you can use your mac to configure that is what I do as well. As far as the DJI FPV Goggles yes you can use it with the Evoque, but not the DJI FPV Remote v2. You will need the original DJI FPV Remote found here: amzn.to/3JZggN8

Question?? I updated the air unit DJI FPV remote and the DJI Google 2. Got the googles connected but can not get the remote to bind. I did all this to use the googles 2. Any idea on the remote to bind. I shouldn’t have to do any thing to the flight control should I? I’ve flown it before with the old googles. This is a IFlight Nazgul evogue F5D. Thanks for any help

Is there a video to show how to set up the analog version?
Not sure man, I started flying about 6 months ago and went digital. I have not tried analog. Good luck man I am sure there is something.
Awesome video.. I just bought the nazgul f5d.. 6s version and I absolutely love it. My issue is uploading reels to Instagram. Is there a trick to uploading without Instagram compressing the daylights out of the footage.. please help
The only trick I found to get better quality on Instagram is to upload through your phone and make sure high-quality video is checked into settings bearing somewhere in the menu. But I still think you can press is it pretty bad
Hello in the meantime, congratulations for the video. On the IFlight website it says that it also has GPS but is it true? Why is the RSSI channel disabled?
Hello, yes you can order this with GPS, I did not! RSSI can be turned on and off in the OSD of Betaflight
I get difficulty in precision landing with 16:9 aspect ratio since it cuts the bottom of the frame. Anyway Thanks for the info!
also that rig protection wall thing i think is blocking the wind for cooling vista unit. No issue for this? I wish iflight gives you F5X X non DC version to review haha
@@freespirit2129 Yeah I wish they would give me one too LOL. The x frame would be better for acro for sure. But I already have an X and wanted a DSC. The 16:9 does not bother me because of the "Style" of flying and filming I do. But I can imagine you fly with a higher camera angle than I do because you fly acro and that would make it harder to land for sure. I have not had any overheating issues yet, but I have only had it for a few days now. Happy flying mate!
Looks great my guy!!
The new Evoque does look pretty slick. I’m not normally one for putting all the LEDs on my quads, but I do think the Evoque looks really cool. I’m afraid that it will probably be really popular due to the cool aesthetic, taking away from it’s originality.
I do think those side covers do offer some protection for expensive components, especially if one happens to use “Turtle Mode” on a regular basis.

@@seth.heerschap Thanks, Mode 2 puts the throttle on the left. Most pilots in the US fly mode 2

Put a PREARM ASAP
New to FPV, I have heard of a pre arm but have never used it before. Tell me more and why I need it. Thanks
Good to know man, I am going to keep the V2, So if my acro skills improve I have a backup! Thanks for the info!
Quick tip … Rather than buying a new qwad just stick a ten dollar ND filter on your GoPro and double the shutter speed of that of your frame rate
So 30fps -1/60 shutter
Your props will disappear like magic
Any frame any camera angle! 👍
So why were my props in view at 1:03? 4:3 30fps with 1/60 shutter speed and ND 32? Was I using the wrong kind of magic?
@@AdventureFPV 😂👍 I could see them too, but they were blurred, so they didn’t look too bad. But the deadcat is defo a better option for cinematic stuff.

I do maybe you don't but I do. I'm into fpv for high quality video. Speaking of videos I like the one you have with Tom McDonald
@@AdventureFPV thanks bud
i don't understand what's wrong with you... you're flying 5 inch with 0 camera angle))) if you are normal 15' on fpv and 20-25 on hd camera and there'll be absolutely no props in hd footage)) and after nazgul true x frame you'd better try apex frame(don't waste your money for the label, you could buy apex frame from readytosky).
