The HongQi/ Red Flag is always a VIP car, so the robot mode can be considered a Central Security Bureau（equivalent of Secret Service) soldier. The JieFang/Liberation truck was a discontinued military and civilian truck, and the robot mode is similar to an 80s PLA army soldier.
Flaws and all this thing is really awesome, it needs just a tiniest bit of refinement and this think would be a 10 out of 10 hands down as is it sits at 7.5 at least! This is def more GO-BOT but it is sooo sexy tho!
This is, straight up, a fun figure. You are completely right about its flaws (which go double for it's pack-mate, the Red-Army truck), but he looks good in both modes and pretty much begsto be handled.

Funny...when you panned upward 👆 to show the robot mode, I saw the feet and thought of Gobots and then you mentioned it having a Gobots look. It's really cool bit I think it should be smaller.

I have never liked Aliexpress after I had some uncertainty with them when my mom bought a jacket for a cosplay of one of the Garo characters, only for the jacket to be too small (as I thought); this might bring the company back into new light for me

I like this. Feels kinda like Ashens with stuff from Wish.
Playing with his legs is much more interesting and Star Warsy rather than him having four limbs. Much prefer that concept.
Looks like an alternate universe where prowl took a wrong turn and never found his Japanese Police car mode. That face is such a TFP prowl look!

From what I've read on Wikipedia, that Car is (The Hong Qi Ca770) was based on the "Chrysler Imperial" luxury car 🤔

Kinda reminds me of an upscaled deluxe. The engineering is comparable.
