Nice! I like that cooling fan on the timer. That’s a great idea.

@@YourFriendStChris exactly! I have an auxiliary electric fan I installed on my XJ but I really need to add one of those timer relays to that system. And also add a cooling fan to my air compressor.

The quick connect you used is only rated to about 20 amps MAX , I would recommend a 50 amp Anderson plug to minimise voltage drop

Just as an FYI those drain valves like to rust shut or the wings loosen from the valve and it fails to turn the valve it just free spins. A quarter turn ball valve from Amazon works better long term. Then you can also add a drain hose that you can aim out so you don't blast nasty rusty water all over your truck.

🔥🔥 I used 4 VIAIR air compressors for my air horns. I pumped it up to 200 psi and none of the hoses pop depart I just got to dig into where the small air leak is 🔥🔥

A apex hose reel would fit nice on the side

Honestly I've found I don't use it enough to need the reel. I just roll it up and put it under my camp stove and it's worked perfect.

you could get yourself a small hose reel that can be mounted inside that space where you plan to hang your hose.

I looked at one small manual hose reel but it mounted the wrong way. A nice retractable one would be awesome! I'll figure it out but for now it will do. Thanks for watching and the comment.

Hey great video! I bought the same system but for the life of me I can't get the compressor to fire off. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with the wiring

Thanks!! Boy my head still hurts from figuring out the wiring on mine with adding the shutdown timer. Have you tried just putting power right to the compressor to see if it will turn on?

❤❤❤ I bet you would love to see my air system in my 2022 Nissan frontier I have a Tool Box in the bed of my truck and I’ve got $3200 worth of VIAIR system in my truck with 4 air compressors and one 2 1/2 gallon tank, and it only takes seconds for me to acquire 200 psi. I have pumped it up to 250 just to double check all of the hoses to make sure they do not leak and they don’t. I have quarter inch aluminum manifolds where all of my hoses connect for compressor is going into the manifold and two air hose is coming from the manifold to go into my 2 1/2 gallon tank. None of it is exposed to whether water or dirt. I probably have the loudest air horns for my pick up truck. ❤❤❤

🔥🔥 what kind of amperage is your compressor drawing? 🔥🔥

I have it on a 30amp fuse and it hasn't had any issues. I've run it long periods and no wiring has been warm also.

Where did you get the countdown relay?

Had to find the email... Website is Quality Mobile Video and part numbers are Beuler BU509TD relay $23.99
      BRS14E Wire connector $2.99
The fan is just a random amazon 12vdc fan with the highest cfm rating I could find.

Swap out the tank with a 5 gallon from a tractor trailer (big rig)

2 x 25' hoses are much easier to manage than 1 50'. The 25' will serve you for 95% of your needs. I'd throw a black towel over the hoses when not in use to keep the sun off them. The UV rays are bad on rubber...tinted windows help but covering is better

I never added a hose holder to the side of the organizer call it laziness if you want. I actually just roll up the hose and store it in the bottom of the organizer system next to the compressor itself out of the sun for sure. We used this setup on our trip to Colorado and it worked perfectly. Filled 3 vehicles tires with ease after each trail run. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!
