Genius method. This is the cleanest eyeshadow depotting I've ever seen.

thank you, my Elf new classics will doubt that, I experimented a lot with it, now it is pretty messy.

This is such a smart & unique method for depotting! Especially if you want to keep the packaging intact! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm definitely going to try this. I'm curious if you've ever tried the warming method, where you place the palette onto a warming plate (wax warmer or coffee mug warmer) to loosen the glue? I've considered trying it but am nervous that the heat may potentially ruin the packaging.

I also want to ask if you use other platforms? I can't write out which one I mean because yt will delete the comment. There's a decent depotting community there (i-g) if you know which one I mean 😅

i had the same concern, that's just my opinion, but I believe it might ruin plastic packaging. Regarding the method I showed in the video, it works ok with both types of packaging, but you have to be patient.Though, if matte eyeshadows are firmly pressed, I am not sure if any method will work....If you are considering trying it out, try with pallet that you've already decluttered, or a very old one

@@the-Artup yes! I normally depot cardboard by either destroying it or carefully wiggling the pans out with a metal spatula. The spatula does damage the edges though so the thread is brilliant!! I can't wait to try it with my norvina palettes! 🥹🫶

@@blendofdays Norvina Pro Pigment, not ABH? That may be a struggle...maybe on top of thread, try using floss, and tape your fingers not to get cut with thread.
