This song is Mongolian Folk song. They changed the style little bit. The song is about ridding a horse and how this horse is acting. They spoke in chinese but singing in pure Mongolian.
Inner Mongolia's population is around 80% Chinese, with only 17% ethnic Mongolian. In cities, I guess the Han are more dominant. It's not a surprise that they introduce their music in the common language. I see comments in kyrillic, and I'm not sure if those are in Russian or Mongolic. That is clearly not the writing favoured by independent Mongolians; Mongolia was dominated by the Soviet and the cultural and political elite speak Russian in the city and Mongolian when visiting relatives.
That was really a nice performance.. well done !!!
I saw them live in bloomington and our mongolian class learned this today! this is "Шигширгийн ай" (shigshirgiin ai), which means "tambourine melody."

This is Hanggai doing "My Banjo and I". I don't know how it's written in mongolian, so I'm not going to try, but it's the first song off of their CD.

In my opinion they speak Chinese because they have always lived in Inner Mongolia, which belongs to China, and were forced to speak Chinese.
This is the Mongolian folk song but their accent wasn't good,,,anyway they're still can sing in Mongu,,,
