Nothing triggers people like cell phone wars. You know, with everything going on in the world, god help you if the rest of society doesn't approve of your mobile device (;
I've been long time iOS user but last year I switched to Android (OnePlus 5T) and I am not going back to iOS. iOS is outdated, and iPhones do not worth the price Apple asks for them.
@@umka7536 That's so interesting to me because I used Android for years and decided a couple of months ago to switch to iOS and for the time being I'm not going back. iOS feels like a streamlined Android experience and for my needs that's perfect. But I'm happy for you that you enjoy Android. :3 By the way: Apple's pricing policy is a nightmare: "Oh you want a MacBook Air with 1.5 TB hard drive? You can get that for a surcharge of just 1.500 $. :)" >______>
You knew this video would spark replies. That's why you made it. You are pushing an Android is better message because you're biased, that's fine but let your viewers know that you're a cheerleader and not an objective reviewer. Have some dignity.
Fanboys (for the record: of ANY kind) ruin the experience for me. This vid is purely opinion based. He didn't take your iPhone away, you can use whatever you want. Stop being toxic because you disagree. Edit: for everyone who thinks I hate Apple, I use an iPhone X.
I believe the beginnig will be rough and there will be things you will miss. But i think that you never will return to ios once you experience the freedom of customising and tweaking.
I’ve switched between Android and iOS many times. Recently I switched back from Android to iOS. So, currently using an iPhone. They both have pros and cons. No matter what you choose or prefer, Google and Apple are both great technology companies that make our lives a lot easier in some cases.
What really turns me off is that after I have paid 1200 for my iphone, I then need to give 80 more for fast charging. It is just a rip off. And that doesn't make me feel good.
Android is great for people who like to play with their device. Not all app launchers work, not all icon packs are good, lots if widgets break on certain model phones. It can do a lot, and has a ton of options. If you are that type of person, who enjoys those activities. IOS is for people who want a phone that does what they need well. Apple can't do everything an Android can, but what it does, is polished, complete, and simple. No miss, no fuss, no need to look up on Google a how to page. I've had them both and switch about every other phone. I like both systems and feel no need to pray to any alter.
That's exactly it. Switching from the X to the S10 in a few days and looking forward to checking Android Pie out, but I'm also excited to see what the rumored iOS 13 refresh brings around. I've been seriously impressed with iOS 12 so far.
Some people are just simple, that is when u get a iPhone. If u like current tech and expandable memory, and everything besides talk and text and social media, then Android is for u. I'm not a simple minded person so I perfer a galaxy device. Shrug shoulder
I agree, or at the very least have a valid reason to "dislike" or even "hate" the other brand. I am an Android user, IPhone's are beautiful phones. My reasoning has always been thought the closed platform. It makes it impossible to develop apps. :( Really unfortunate...
Excactly. If i didnt have a gaming computer fully networked house and many tablets that do the same and more that an android does i might want one. But since i have all that i dont need a android. I love the build quality and reliability and simplicity of an iphone.
I agree! I’ve always gone back and forth between Android and iOS . For whatever reason for me I just end up liking iOS better. Even though I like the idea of android better and hate the way apple treats there customers but I just can’t get locked into android.
I think the main reason people tend to prefer iOS or Android and not be inclined to switch is that we get very used to how things work, and then we find trying to adjust to something else very difficult. With smartphones being such personal devices that, we use so frequently, just a small change in the use of the device sends people into a panic attack. The motions and locations of things become so familiar to us that we barely think as we use the device, we just do. You went back to an android phone because it worked the way you expect it to, and are accustomed to it working. And there’s nothing bad about that. I’d say smartphones these days are all impressive and powerful devices. The difference between them and the choice of OS allow people to get what they want and expect from a phone. Whatever that means to them. The only bad phone is one that doesn’t suit your needs/wants.
Exactly. I was thinking this when he was mentioning the things his Android has that the iPhone doesn’t. If you used an android for a few years and tried iPhone, of course it would feel awkward to use. You are used to how android does it and not how iPhone does it. To be honest this seemed like a pretty canned video. This guy obviously knew he wouldn’t end up switching probably after a day or two into using it just because it didn’t preform and have the same features as his android does.
@@mattp12 He wants to be able to do things with his phone that Apple doesn't allow. 2 apps on one screen? No problem on my Samsung note. Apple sandboxes apps in a way that feels limiting. I feel like I have more freedom now, and I had been an iPhone user since the orginal
When I switched to android, I was thinking positive, but I miss my old iphone days. You are right, both sides have many pros/cons, but if you are used to either of these, it is a good idea to stick with it.
Niff2005 yeah that depends on where you’re from. My friends in other countries use Whatsapp. iMessage is not the end all be all. It’s probably the best messaging service by far but not everyone uses it. Once you start though, its hard to leave
I’m an Apple guy and seriously, this has been the best explanation of customization that anyone has ever given in my opinion. Not sure it’s enough to have me switch, but very informative.
@@elijahlee3610 Ok. For once i kindof agree with you. I think that it's pretty clear that iPhones aren't for people who are thinking too mutch about saving money, but still i think price is important. The note 9 is a good deal for the price, but I personally will stick with iPhones for now.
IPhone is made for people who don't want customization. All my friends have one and they've never had a problem with it. If you do get an Android. You don't have to have any specific phone or whatever
i LyriK iphones are more for business people who just want a very good looking phone with a smooth and clean software... android is more for people who like these things as “customize” and idk what so ever... i don’t think apple will make customization options...
I prefer iOS and probably will not ever get an Android, but I don’t get salty when people point out the cons of the iPhone. For me, and what I use my phone for, the pros outweigh the cons.
Ben has hit some of the main comparisons to help a person choose between iOS & Android. With the pros & cons always being from a point of view, the facts are obvious. A person can appreciate a more simple operating system which shows them what to do & helps on how to get it done. A person can appreciate the ability to have an operating system which can be shown how to get things done. From there, the personal question for most is, "How AuthenTech am I?"
@@simonboatwright7089 yes, but they have watches, tablets, earbuds, laptop, screens, etc, a true ecosystem. Samsung own Tizen, best competitor to WatchOS, like, yeah, samsung obvioulsy use android because it is just stupid to come with his own os, but samsung really made a great ecosystem, and you can have every price range of phones and tablets
I’m a long life android user since last year I switched to iOs and guess what, I feel like not coming back to Android anymore! Love how fluid iOs is ! Ram management is the key!
I pretty much agree with this. Customisation is important. Different people has different needs. What you like, doesn't necessarily mean others will like it too. Vice versa. His needs and liking are more towards Android. Fine. It doesn't mean you have to like it if you don't. His talking based on his perspective, not yours.
I have had an iphone for my whole life until not too long ago when i got a google pixel 2. I really enjoy some of the features that android offers, and I honestly like it better now. I found it to be like switching from an automatic car to a manual car, i dont think i will ever want to go back to an automatic because i like being able to control what gear my car is in without having a computer decide for me, and they are also just more fun to drive, its not just a lazy people car. Same goes for android, it is customizable, and it is just more fun.
some automatics car let you decide what gear you use (my car does, even if I never use it), but yeah, iPhones don't let you choose. Unless you choose an electric car, then you have no gear, but that isn't the point of your comment, not sure how to apply this to phones
I was a big apple fanboy when the times of the iPhone 4 was relevant, because back then, Apple was far ahead of the competitors, from camera to performance and software... BUT then Samsung upped their game, and OnePlus came to the market... I made the switch to the OnePlus 3t, and wow... OxygenOS is literally the fastest android system out there, and it is amazing. Every time I look at my iPad, I think to myself: Wow, Apple literally stopped improving the software drastically from iOS 7 and up... I understand why people like the ecosystem, I have an iPad and a MacBook and they work really well together... BUT, googles services just work over every single platform. I just use google photos, and all my photos are synced between all my devices, and chrome makes browsing seamless... Litterally all my friends use facebook messenger so I don't use iMessage at all! I have a lovely girlfriend that i would like to have as my wallpaper on my iPad, but i can only see the bottom half of her face when i look at the home-screen, it drives me crazy. On my oneplus i simply move the apps to the bottom right and left corner, so they dont disturb the image! I know this reason wont apply for all of you, but it is a deal breaker for me.
Agreed. I think people some people don't bother to put the effort to change to a better device because they're okay with paying more for an inferior device as long as they can stay in their comfort zone.
Jonathan Sølving iPhone 4 fanboys aren’t fanboys at all. Just the boys whom always want the new popular stuff in their pockets. 6 months later it wasn’t relevant anymore.
@@tylerwest2449 customizability gives you the freedom to make the UI and experience as simple as you like or as complex as you like. But choosing a OS depends completely on one's personal preference.
I'm a longtime Android user who recently switched to Apple iPhone XS Max and I gotta admit it's missing a lot of features from Android. All these little tweaks really do make your life easier especially when you have everything at glance. You just have to get used to iPhone in a good way to actually like it.
Myles it was a Galaxy S8. I had a bad experience with Samsung phones from early S4 models till S8. At first they all worked perfect but at the end they all had one thing in common. They became slow and sometimes to the point that they got pretty much unusable. The S8 was another story. Apparently the LCD burned out and it turns out that in most cases Samsung refuses to cover it under user guarantee. In my case I was lucky because they did replace it.
@@motospidey it's just I've never heard about OLEDs burning out ever. Plus the fact that Apple buys their screens off Samsung makes me think that you are either lying or idk
I moved to Android by getting a Note 4. I loved the fact it had so many cool features. But when I wanted to do anything specific it took forever for me to find it. I thought about going back to my iphone 4s. Then I moved to Nexus. Then I moved to One plus and never looked back.
What is that widget he's using to get all those apps so small and all together on the screen like that... Then he swiped up and they all were there!!! I don't have that on my Galaxy s9+ (I don't think)
I always go and come back either to an iPhone device or an android device, I remember when I switched from a 5s to a Moto X, I loved that phone. Then I've been using Samsung since the S8, and the S9 and I'm kinda bumped with these two devices, a bit disappointed I might say, I will try the XS Max just because I'm curious and it's about time to go back to iPhone. I think the healthiest thing to do is always let the toxicity stay because no device or company is better than other, it's just preferences
apple really needs to allow more customization. especially on the home screen. i’m an apple user, but imagining more customization sounds really amazing. i know i can get an android but i’m an apple sheep so i would prefer apple.
I own an iPhone from 2008 starting from the very first 2G version. Jailbreak was the key to customization basically with the tools available you could add android similar functionality to your device which I did. Pity that jailbreak is dead now.
Moreover: With an Android I can stream directly to a DLNA TV without the need of the AppleTV, when connecting to the computer I can transfer files without having to install iTunes, I can use OTG drives, USB-sticks, with an iPhone I can't do that. Bottom line, for the average user, the iPhone is a great choice, but for advanced users like myself, I take the Andoid, by far. PS. The picture quality of the MI A2 Lite is awesome too. I love this phone ! :-)
Roger Olivier lol ur so naive and close minded. Im an advance user yet want all that gibberish off my personal cell phone. I have my i7 windows gaming rig with solid state hard drives and full networking control of my tvs, dual screen, mirroring, extended screen, android tablets and extra usb drives everywhere. Yet wen i use my phone i want something reliable and well made. An android phone usually only last me less then a year before something is already breaking down , charger port messing up or both. Iphone is fast, reiable and charger ports never break. Its quality over quantity.
Roger Olivier so the iphone might have less features but i dont need what my gaming computer and many android tablets can do. I just need it to be a phone and be really good at that and that only witch it is and has real good build quality. Its what i want in a phone
I have to stop you on the "transfer files" comment. You don't actually need iTunes. I used SendAnywhere to transfer files and it's quick and fast! Don't need to plug anything in, but that's only if you have an iPhone and a Windows device. If you have an iPhone and a Macbook or even an iPad you can use Airdrop which allows you to send files almost instantly to your other Apple devices! I recently used that when I recorded footage for Christmas on my phone and Airdropped it to my Mom's Macbook! So you don't need iTunes anymore. I actually rarely use iTunes... There are also apps available on the Apple App Store, just like on the Google Play Store, that allows you to stream to whatever device you'd like! I can stream content from my iPhone to my Philips TV or my moms Samsung TV. If there's a Firestick or a Chromecast, I can stream content to those as well! The TH-cam app allows you to stream content to Smart TVs too! As well as Netflix and other streaming apps! People think the iPhone is so basic and incapable, it's just people don't actually LOOK! Go on the App Store and browse the apps, you'd wish some of the apps were available for Android!
DinoMight Studios Ok I was confusing Send Anywhere with a different app, that used Wifi to transfer. But since being stuck with just 4g on my phones and tablets, means my Laptops are offline unless I turn on the hotspot on one of my devices It’s just faster with a wired connection, unless the file is super small.. Though Sendanywhere is pretty good for photos, but 900mb video files... it’s faster to connect both my Android Tablet or Phone to my laptop and transfer to or from the ipad
Anyone saying that Android is too complicated or isn't simple enough, you're missing the beauty of Android. If you wish to have it look and feel exactly like an iphone, you can literally customize it to be that way. You can customize it to be the most complex, multitasking hungry device, or a simple 4 app screen device. That is the beauty and in my opinion, the winning factor of Android, the control. No such abilities exist for iPhones
WillyM415 the beauty is all that matters!! reliable smoothness and hardware wise!! all the cons against iphone that he had said was not a big deal for me..I'm still using iphone 7plus and still it doesn't make me feel disappointed,, Android have a dozen to show and to do rather than iphone but it makes your screens a mess compare to ios,. i was a an android user for years and that's what makes me switch to iphone.. over a year they start lagging and doing weird stuff. they have sensitive hardware just a drop of the phone you'll notice a glitch on the software once you use it afterwards.
Well, I personally prefer apple for every device except my pc, I do like the refined Ui on iOS 12. Plus if need be we can wait for jailbreaks and do even more things on our phone. It’s could be user error but my mother has had the same iPhone for 5 years. She just recently got a new one but I do see the reason to get an android. I have been looking for those efficient gestures on iOS and sadly they do not have it. The only reason I haven’t switched is the fact that my experience has been mostly ruined by my dads Android phones. All of them had horrible interfaces and broke within 6months. Bet hey, I’m a few years I might get an android phone.
@@acronymn8382 Tell me more about jailbreaking! I totally thought that was super old school and no one did that anymore. What fun possibilities can be unlocked? And what about warranty, can/do you remove jailbreak for Apple service if needed?
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke I believe it voids the warranty, since you are tampering with the software a lot. The last Jailbreak was for iOS 11.4.1 but a new one may be coming up. Jail breaking allows you to access ALOT more of your phone and using different softwares, it is really safe. You can even have fully interactive home screens, hidden apps, and more customizability than ever thought possible. But you do need to be careful cus some apps on the Cydia AppStore can be malicious. Cydia is the AppStore for jailbroken phones. And jail breaking is easier on android phones, but I still like apple phone “feel”
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke you can even change the icons on the apps and create hidden folders and apps that are locked with a passcode, like your pictures.
I hate when people say IOS is "WAY" easier, like I literally had to spend just a couple of hours on my Android phone before getting the hang of it. Don't let this be one of your biggest concerns.
T130AT Im not really pissed. I kinda like using the S9 sometimes but the “pros” of Android to me is just “additional content “. My iPhone X does everything I need on a daily basis. When I get slightly bored I will toy around with the spare S9 at home lmao
Alright I'm not an iPhone user by any means but..I do love iPhone especially 5series even the se due to the design and I do love the 7/8 plus cuz of that dual cameras. For me my cons will be battery life,no dual n sd card trim slots, the notification bar are just way to ..idk how to describe this but you get it, can't customize this guy, I need that app folders tbh ( this cons for all series of iPhone ) now for the others just no headphones jack..well we can overcome that in time..Pros of iPhone ahh my favorite no dang lag, good quality videos+photos Now for Android. Cons.. the camera, it laggy (ofc lag when ur using a 400 snapdragons and playing demand games), the design, the price ( welp..need to w8 for other lineup to pop out and the price will be good) the pros will be.. customization, battery life, dual SIM even a SD card tray (some have it and some don't like 1+, xiaomi have it but 2nd slot of sim are hybrid with the SD so gotta make a choice)
This video is spot on. I have a Galaxy s9 and recently purchased a iPhone XS. I feel so spoiled by android phones lol. I miss the customization, convenience,SD card, clear all recent apps, abundance of widgets and the FINGERPRINT SCANNER . Apple really makes u miss those things. Luckily I still own my s9 so I could switch back anytime. I'm trying so hard to give Apple a chance tho...
Android user for 7 years now. Company where i work provided me an iphone, so Ihave both. Im surprised IOS is pretty much the same when i left it- boring.
I have both too. I work for Taro where I need an iPhone so I have the xs max and the pixel 3 xl. I've gone through so many phones it's not even funny lol
That's kind of the point. It's familiar, it gets the job done and the quality of apps are usually better than Android (the non Google intentionally gimped ones).
I say the same thing, there is nothing exciting about iphone releases yet you have a thousand people lined up ready to trade in last years model for the same phone
@@jy.3 if we're comparing top androids to iphone than no the differences in apps doesn't make up for a closed restricted system with early 2000s customization.
I’m a lifelong Apple user,I tried android and lasted for around 2 weeks I’ll admit,I didn’t hate it as much as I thought I did,Android earned my respect(never hated it),I like both I just prefer iPhone. :)
Same. Also somehow whenever I have a android phone I somehow seem to get a virus on it. I think it’s because they make it so simple to just download anything from anywhere.
yeah i would be the same as you, but since almost every android phone receives just one update after it comes out, it gets slower and slower as the apps get more power demanding, that's the biggest reason i went from android to ios
Always have been an apple user. I switched to a Samsung Galaxy S9 and it was a really nice phone. The android system is nice and all but personally i never saw myself using all the thing customization you could do on an android. I felt that the iphone was more fluid and the whole system itself felt more smooth and better than that on android. I personally think both android and ios are amazing but If I had to choose, I would choose IOS.
@@carloacetre677 Bring evidence of it, not stories, but evidence, I don't want to hear that "I used to be a samsung phone user and my device was going so slow in comparison of iphones." Man, Iphones are great, but they don't have a lot of features, you might say that these features aren't really needed but it's preference of the user, you can draw with the s pen on your s9 and that's quite cool for people who like to draw and use their phone at the same time, while having two apps at the same time, like you are watching a funny video, and you wanna draw or chat with someone at the same time, you can do it in a samsung phone. These features are really needed by most of the people, and the people who rather having an apple is because they don't really have that need to draw or do stuff like that, but that's a waste of money for a phone that doesn't have a lot of features, it just is greatly optimized and has a great camera tbh. Anyways, samsung phones are better for me for that reason they have a powerful processor and all of those features, instead, iphones have a pretty good processor which is a *little, tiny bit, bettter than the samsungs' ones* and greatly optimized, that's quite it.
Software guy and I switch between both. I prefer Android simply due to it's smarts. It's a smarter OS and daily assistant. Notifications, daily tasks, etc, Google just does a better job. The pixel I use simply kills with photos. As a side gig I am also a dad of a 7 year old and the photos are just better with a pixel with zero effort. I appreciate IOS, everything just works. It's simple, but Android is just smarter and I love it.
I agree ! Due to it's smarts. I came from the iPhone 7 plus to the note 9. Yes Android is definitely smarter and easier for me to use due to customizing it's functionality.
I think android is great, but somethings I just can’t give up on iPhone. You can also just get a bunch of stuff on 3D apps that you can have on Android. Wish it was more customizable. iMessages for example, when friends put you in group chats and you have an Android your not going to get Put in the gc. Plus I just like the simplicity. Favorite Android is the one plus tho.
Meaning that android settings are bad organized? If you can't manage a settings menu regardless on which phone model and you think it is hard, then congratulations you are a 100% moron.
@Royston F'des actually no you don't you can customize it to be simple and cheap Android's have less gimmicks and are better investments than flagships
After my iPhone 6 bentgated I gave Android a shot for around 2 years. I really liked the customization features and the overall possibilities. I still had Mac at home, but that never was an issue for me. End of 2018 I switched back to Apple with the Xs and I have to say, that Apple adopted many things from Android and put into a functional perfect iOs, combined with great hardware. I don‘t miss any customization features, I‘m glad that everything works right out of the box and blends in perfectly with my Macbook, iPad, etc. I still like Android, but for now I‘m just happy with my heavily overpriced iPhone Xs. One more thing: I like google and their products, but keep in mind that google‘s business model is based on advertisment and selling data. Apple is much more restrictive but has less possibilities because of that. In the end Apple makes their money with selling overpriced hardware and google selling customer profiles. It‘s not good or bad, just two different philosophies and business models.
You really think Apple wont make money with heavy overpriced hardware AND your data? I think that's naive. They want you to think that, but They would never ever pass this money.
@@duecky no, they don't, you can read terms of service, google for example tells you that they're using your data and how, the companies are legally bound to tell their customers.
I use android because i strongly dislike the lack of features and abilities in the ios software. I used the iphone 6 for one year before switching back to a galaxy and I just simply didn't enjoy the software. The lack of universal back buttons on iphone really throws me off, possibly too much. I know use a Pixel 3 as well as an s7 as my daily drivers and I am very pleased with the experience
The multi tasking system in android is excellent...you can open two apps or more apps in your screen for ease of works which is very very helpful. But iphone can,'t do that.
It will definitely be quite a different experience since the limitations that Apple put on their phones do not exist on Android so you might be overwhelmed on what you can truly do with your phone. Android takes time but really fun!
the iPhone is a very nice device, but I don't like Apple's shady policies. It sucks not having a headphone jack and it sucks even more that they handicap older phones to make the user get a new one. I'm done supporting these abusive practices.
they slow down the phone when battery endurance drops to a certain percentage but you can disable that in battery settings. Go educate yourself. iPhone 5s released in 2013 - runs latest ios no problem. Galaxy s4 also in 2013 - stuck at lollipop. Wonder why is that
The iOS has everything you need to use it for a daily use. I don't see the reason you need to make your apps smaller or hide them below. It just makes it harder to find. The App Store on iOS is stricter - it approves new games in longer time. I don't mind this as it only means that they've checked the game for "faults" many times.
It doesn't only mean they've checked an app for faults, it means if any app goes against Apple's policy be it good or bad, they won't allow it. Apple doesn't allow Firefox on the app store (the one there is an firefox 'skin' on Apple's browser) they've blocked updates for Telegram before because of Russia.
You makes the apps icon smaller so you can put all of em in just one place, so no need to swipe it to the next page (but it still depends on it's user if they have a good eye to search for a small thing tho😊) or you do like small things so you can size it as you like and for the hide things you mentioned above it's called apps drawer, it's the place where all your apps was placed. Unlike home screen which can be customized with widget or whatever, the app drawer is a place only for apps, so it's easier to find😉👍
There's also the issue with price you know🙄.....iPhone XS is 1400$ in my country (128gb). My dad bought a mi A2 4 months ago for 212$ (128gb). Works more than nicely for him.
The ability to have both, a home screen AND a page where all apps are makes it much faster. My home screen contains most of my frequently used apps. With a swipe up i het all others. His customisation in the vid is quite strange for my personal liking though..
Imo it's not worth to pay over 1000€, just because of IOS. Android really improved and I think everyone should be satesfied with Android. It really isn't a big difference anymore. I'm currently on a xiaomi note 6 pro and android is working fine, if you consider that i've only paid 200€ for it.
I’ve been iPhone switched to android for a spell but came back to iPhone for the ecosystem plus the general reliability of the device and ease of use for the everyday driver. I admire what Android is doing from a distance but with my Mac iPhone just pairs so well and airdrop is irreplaceable.
I used android for about 9 years and now switched back to apple. Im not regretting my decision so far. IOS is so much more convenient to use if you got other apple devices.
DannewK So IOS is great but the Iphone is useless? Makes not much sense to me. And if you like the look of the iphone or not comes down to personal taste.
@@dominice801 Some people aren't happy with FaceID, especially those who use it lying down or on a desk. Understandable. I'm happy with it, but this is a valid point. The notch I think isn't that valid because most videos have cropped aspect ratios anyway. You're missing out on some screen but so is the case with most 21:9 phones nowadays. I like it for browsing and social networking, it scrolls like butter with that 120 hz touch update rate (not screen refresh ofc). Maybe when they improve battery performance on the screen refresh without a huge battery like Razor or the iPad has it'll be a cool feature, but for the most part it isn't a killer feature. Not like most games support 120hz.
"IOS is so much more convenient to use if you got other Apple devices" why do you need so many Apple devices just to feel convientent for android all you need is something that's compatible with it.
I know that this video is a bit old but all the things he mentioned for iphone, android has them know. And just saying, the stuff he mentioned for pros of iPhone didn't seem impressive
I did the same mate, got the xs max and it was not worth it. Great phone and I love iOS but... nothing justifies the money you spend for it. So I sold it within 3 weeks. Now I’m going samsung again.
@@Pablodwnunda I tried Samsung for my first time with the S9 (HTC user before) and boy, did I regret it. I still don't understand how Samsung is leading in sells of Android phones... Anyway, I'm on a Huawei Mate Pro 20 and I love it! The P20 would also be a good choice.
I had Galaxy S, S3, S4 and S7, and no matter what they say of how their software is "better", it's always very laggy compared to other Android phones, the animations, the multitasking, their simple apps like phone and gallery, everything. The phones look great and have the best build quality, camera and battery, but within a few months it just lags. I switched to OnePlus and it's the best thing I could have done, I don't know how they lead the sells of Android phones also.
@@crazymakking I would say IOS is simpler to understand or "easier". Android is superior just because of what you can do with it in my opinion. But IOS and Android really aren't to be compared as IOS is proprietary and android is 100% open source meaning there are many people working on many different devices that use it so there really no standard for android
Totally agree with the home screen customizations. When I use android I have a blank home screen with a simple google search bar at the top or bottom with 5 primary icons on bottom, ie., phone, text, email, etc.. That way I can display a nice home screen, with a picture of my choice. Swipe left for commonly used apps, swipe up for app drawer. Although this seems subtle or insignificant, you really don’t appreciate it until it’s gone. I enjoy my iPhone, but the biggest reason is that once you have an iPhone you feel sucked into its culture. When your friends and family have iPhones the experience just seems better connected. My teenage son refuses to use androids for this same reason.. oh well.. to each their own, but I do appreciate what both platforms have to offer. Currently rocking an iPhone XR, but looking forward to trying out that 6t plus.. 😄
I switched from Android after 6yrs to the XS Max and now I’m kinda in love with it tbh. Just the gestures make going from app to app seem less and and everything about the phone is seemless. I just seem to enjoy the user experience of iPhone not to mention I’ve been using the same phone for 2yrs now and it is still going like the day I got it where as android has never been able to do that for me. Everything is still buttery smooth and the phone holds up very impressively. I still respect Android but the seemlessness and the gestures as well as how the hardware and software compliment each other like PB&J is amazing. My only complaint is the battery life is not up to par with Android
I just got the 6t. It's an awesome phone. I wouldn't know if it's better than an iPhone though. I've never liked Apple so I've never used one outside of messing with a friend's iPhone.
I agree with pretty much everything you said Ben. I switched to an iPhone 7 Plus for a few months a few years ago and I was bored out of my mind. The biggest pro I would say in iOS is just how buttery smooth everything is. The biggest con for me is lack of customization. I'm presently using a OnePlus 6 device, and I'm thinking of picking up the Pixel 3 XL on Black Friday. Overall, I feel both iOS and Android have their pros and cons, but at the end of the day it comes down to price and what suits your wants and needs. If you just want a simple device that pretty much is great where it matters, than iOS is for you. If you care about getting the best price for performance, care about customization, and don't like being locked down to one brand, than Android is for you. Overall I think both are amazing!
My problem is that iPhone is not great at what I want my phone reception is always low at home with my iPhone but with my note9 was always high iPhones suck at reception period
Switched to android a year after Steve Jobs died. I honestly foresaw no big innovation nor creativity when the iphone 5 came out. By that time I was heavily invested in the apple ecosystem but I made a judgement call. I'm sure glad I did. My Galaxy Note 3 was the best phone I bought. I'm currently writing this in my awesome Note 10+.
original android user then switched to iphone for a year which wasn't that bad but i missed using android so i got a pixel 3 xl which is awesome. I like that i have the freedom of changing whatever I want. I feel like its time for apple to give users something different
Android doesn't make phones it's just a os. The companies that partner with android do. In anyways iOS or android it doesn't matter! They are both great os

@@Codyslx Incorrect. His claim is that you can get Android phones with better hardware at a lower cost which is untrue. Unless I missed the sub $400 Android phones with better hardware than an iPhone XR or XS.
@@Codyslx I'm an Android user.. so no. And the original comment was about iOS vs Android. Not Samsung vs iPhone. So you're wrong all over the place. I'll draw you a diagram in crayon if you like.
I had the iPhone 3GS and then the 4S, and man, I loved them. Android at the time sucked hard. But then I tried the LG G4 and fell in love with Android and the camera that that phone had. Then I went to Nexus 6P, which failed due to some factory hardware issue and Google did nothing to replace it (they suck at customer support). So I decided to give Apple a chance and bought the 8 Plus... man, do I hate this phone. I'm like you, I just like Android better. It breaks my balls when I can't customize or remove things that I don't want. So, after one month with the iPhone 8 Plus, I bought the Pixel 2 XL and I was a happy camper for 10 months... Because again, due to factory issues, the Pixel 2 XL had the Fatal Camera Error (in the back camera). I wrote to google to replace it (it took a while!) and they sent me a refurbished Pixel 2XL, with lousy battery life AND, get this, the front camera had a scratch on it (inside the glass, out of reach), so I spent TWENTY days speaking with support trying to get it replaced!! TWENTY DAYS!!! (and they were completely dismissive a holes) Until finally, today, I got them to send me a new device. So, in a few days I'll (hopefully) have a working Pixel 2 XL and I'll be a happy camper again. Extra thought. Think what you like about Apple, but they do make excellent devices (even if I hate the OS), and their quality control and customer support is out of this world (their customer support rivals Amazon's) Google has a lot to learn from Apple.
To me apples hardware is awsome on the outside the shell but they use inferior internals they dont know how to put antennas properly or put in shitty antennas so always have low reception and ios is smooth but not always that simple sometimes the simple things is a pain on ios just my opinion
Iphones have good biuld quality but I hate ios. I love android because of it's customization (i change stuff like almost every day lol). Right now i'm using the pocophone f1.
Why go back to Google after your bad experience with the Nexus when there are so many other Android options out there? That's one of the big pro's of Android. Not happy with a manufacture's latest design or customer service? just try someone else. I personally have owned Android phones from 5 different manufacturers, with Samsung being my favorite at the moment.
Should have bought you a Chinese flagship instead of believing the lies on the news. My one plus 5t works just as good and smooth as the day I bought it.
Omotayo Preston what phone did you switch from and which to? I had android for a couple months and it was nice, the camera quality was better, but the battery life wasn’t great. I only switched for a little because I was later surprised with a new phone, but I still prefer Apple.
I used to be an Apple fanboy. Then my friend got a new phone, and he sold me his old Galaxy A5. It is simply the best phone I ever had. I felt as if I just got out of jail. For anyone who doesn't know anything about android and just assumes that it's trash, research the facts, and your opinion will definitely change.
I was an android user for basically my whole life until I started asking my parents for one, they obviously said no because we didn’t have enough money, so I researched apple for about a year just to get an IPhone 7 Plus, on Christmas I finally got one and I loved it, but a few months later out of nowhere the back camera stopped working, and I’m not the only one this has happened to. Apparently this situation has happened to many people who has 7s and the back camera was one of the reasons I wanted an IPhone. And iPhones are not cheap! The 7 for me cost around 700 $ so if I’m paying 700 $ for something that dosent work I’m obviously going to switch back to Samsung, I can’t wait till I get my 10s
I switched to an iPhone after using Android for years. I loved Samsung S series, still love the S8. But I don’t customise much anymore and I wanted a small phone so I bought iPhone SE, 2 years back and I honestly love it.

@@umka7536 That's so interesting to me because I used Android for years and decided a couple of months ago to switch to iOS and for the time being I'm not going back. iOS feels like a streamlined Android experience and for my needs that's perfect. But I'm happy for you that you enjoy Android. :3

Ok I was confusing Send Anywhere with a different app, that used Wifi to transfer.
But since being stuck with just 4g on my phones and tablets, means my Laptops are offline unless I turn on the hotspot on one of my devices
It’s just faster with a wired connection, unless the file is super small..

Brave man. Get ready for the Apple fanboys...
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke
Everything apple Pro has lots of videos on jail breaking and I suggest checking them out.
I hate when people say IOS is "WAY" easier, like I literally had to spend just a couple of hours on my Android phone before getting the hang of it. Don't let this be one of your biggest concerns.

Alright I'm not an iPhone user by any means but..I do love iPhone especially 5series even the se due to the design and I do love the 7/8 plus cuz of that dual cameras.
For me my cons will be battery life,no dual n sd card trim slots, the notification bar are just way to ..idk how to describe this but you get it, can't customize this guy, I need that app folders tbh ( this cons for all series of iPhone ) now for the others just no headphones jack..well we can overcome that in time..Pros of iPhone ahh my favorite no dang lag, good quality videos+photos
Now for Android. Cons.. the camera, it laggy (ofc lag when ur using a 400 snapdragons and playing demand games), the design, the price ( welp..need to w8 for other lineup to pop out and the price will be good)
the pros will be.. customization, battery life, dual SIM even a SD card tray (some have it and some don't like 1+, xiaomi have it but 2nd slot of sim are hybrid with the SD so gotta make a choice)
This video is spot on. I have a Galaxy s9 and recently purchased a iPhone XS. I feel so spoiled by android phones lol. I miss the customization, convenience,SD card, clear all recent apps, abundance of widgets and the FINGERPRINT SCANNER . Apple really makes u miss those things. yeah i would be the same as you, but since almost every android phone receives just one update after it comes out, it gets slower and slower as the apps get more power demanding, that's the biggest reason i went from android to ios
The S9 is the slowest Android flagship. Bad choice.

Man, Iphones are great, but they don't have a lot of features, you might say that these features aren't really needed but it's preference of the user, you can draw with the s pen on your s9 and that's quite cool for people who like to draw and use their phone at the same time, while having two apps at the same time, like you are watching a funny video, and you wanna draw or chat with someone at the same time, you can do it in a samsung phone.

Wish it was more customizable. iMessages for example, when friends put you in group chats and you have an Android your not going to get

What a analysis bro!!!!!! I really enjoyed it as i know i phones for class and android for need.....
(and they were completely dismissive a holes)
Until finally, today, I got them to send me a new device. So, in a few days I'll (hopefully) have a working Pixel 2 XL and I'll be a happy camper again.
Extra thought.
Think what you like about Apple, but they do make excellent devices (even if I hate the OS), and their quality control and customer support is out of this world (their customer support rivals Amazon's)
Google has a lot to learn from Apple.
To me apples hardware is awsome on the outside the shell but they use inferior internals they dont know how to put antennas properly or put in shitty antennas so always have low reception and ios is smooth but not always that simple sometimes the simple things is a pain on ios just my opinion
Apple support is second to none.

@@cooliipie Wow, so you call people idiots over people's personal opinions? I can tell you cry and scream when you don't get your way.
because youre an NPC
I got a iPhone XS Max and love it. it’s also my first iPhone I ever had been android users since the beginning too.
All Hail Odin The God of Knowledge me too I’ve had android phones and I have Xs Max right now love it the design, gives you a premium feel
Galaxy A5? I’d rather have an iPhone 6 than that
I was an android user for basically my whole life until I started asking my parents for one, they obviously said no because we didn’t have enough money, so I researched apple for about a year just to get an IPhone 7 Plus, on Christmas I finally got one and I loved it, but a few months later out of nowhere the back camera stopped working, and I’m not the only one this has happened to.
I have an iPhone 6!
Make an android with iPhone emojis and imessage and I would be fulfilled for eternity
relativeGif RelativeGif there’s ways to get iPhone emojis on android but not iMessage.
iMessage, ok I get it. Emojis? Seriously. You get excited about emojis? Get a life.

Emmarellda1 huh?
The simplicity of IPhone users is humbling sincerely and that’s not a bad thing it’s when you get iPhone users that think they are superior
Actully you can customize the green and blue chat bubbles on Samsung. You can change the way the bubble is the color the shape how big or how small .
Little correction. Android samsung pie one ui have built in screen recorder
wait what? where do u find the setting of it?
i think stock android doesnt have a built in screen recorder but when we come to miui and oxgen, emui etc, they have a built in one
Your background music got me looking around for mosquitoes
I switched to an iPhone after using Android for years. I loved Samsung S series, still love the S8.
But I don’t customise much anymore and I wanted a small phone so I bought iPhone SE, 2 years back and I honestly love it.
The SE is actually one of the few apple phones I appreciated when released.
Se?
@@sitinursharida8728 its a special edition iPhone that is basically an iPhone 6 in the body of a 5s
