it's semi original. In the movie Alien Invasion SUM1 the protagonist is tasked with guarding a watch tower to protect against something and they are forbidden to communicate with the other watch tower even though they are near each other. It's a super good movie too!
There are plenty if you make the effort to look.
I love this movie. I wished it was shown on the big screen theater. In this scene, I love the look on her face when she sent him to go wash up before dinner

Not including the movie clip I think this is the best trailer for a movie I've seen in a long time, it checks all the boxes in less than a couple minutes. Introduces\establishes interesting characters while it builds suspense about the story without providing too much detail.

I don’t understand why there are so many people hating/ leaving negative comments. It’s not your average plot and they got quality actors to pull it off. I honestly can’t wait!! Everything she’s in is always good and he’s an actor whose face I’ve seen around but I only know Anya because she’s closer to my age. I just wish there were more ways to watch it! Guess I’ll be doing an Apple free trial or paying for one month 😏that’s where my complaint lies. I’d much rather love to see this one on the big screen

Sure, and I haven’t seen it so can’t give a full view. But the premise that a gateway to hell is guarded by just two people feels like a plot contrivance. People are desperate for a good story for a story’s sake, not one spoiled by insane reasoning that defies common sense.

This film looks STUPID. The trailer reminds me of that, made in China, Matt Damon turd/movie "The Great Wall". My money is on "rotten".

A: If everyone found out the gate to hell actually existed, the whole planet would flock there to take selfies.
Probably because the gorge has a potential to be extremely dangerous, but is not active. It is the same as guarding nuclear silos. They are the most powerful weapons on the planet and the crew must respond immediatelly, when needed. But, most likely, nothing ever happens. What happens over time, is that it get crew of people, who do not understand, what they are doing, only getting a set of commands in case something happens
It's not a "gate to hell" in any sense.
In the movie this Gorge has been watched since the 40s and seen basically no activity or attacks. Only during the movie is some activity seen, but even then it's dealt with by the weapons they have. The trouble comes from another incident.
One is sleeping and the other is showering. Not much watching. I would think there would be three people on each side for proper daily rotation for the 365 days they are there.
Looking forward to this film! In spite of the plot contrivances, I've always liked the setup of enemies becoming friends in isolation, and the Romeo & Juliet dynamics in a "Last-man-on-Earth" setup. I don't believe for a second that the gorge beneath them is actually Hell (it's a metaphor, obviously), but discovering the danger together is the plot trope for us as well. Should be good!
Agreed, it's obviously not REALLY the entrance to Hell, but it's something that multiple govt's have been keeping in check for ages.... Until they no longer can.... I'm looking forward to it as well. Both solid actors, and the premise is new, sooooo....

This looks REALLY cool... And I like the originalness of the idea/plot. Interesting, looking forward to it.
The plot is as good as it's execution, which is why directors matter. The plots of most great action movies are ludicrous most of the time. To say a film is bad before you've seen it is pretty dumb.

We live in the worst possible simulation universe, the one where Hela destroys Mjolnir IN THE TRAILER!!! WTAF?!?! They could have simply showed her catching Mjolnir and stopping Mjolnir from returning to Thor. That would have been enough for the trailer. Why would you have Darth Maul showing the double bladed lightsaber IN THE TRAILER??? No one, absolutely NOBODY was on the fence about going to see Episode I - "The Phantom Menace" and seeing the double bladed lightsaber made the difference. They could have showed him igniting one blade in the trailer. WTF?!

Please watch movies based on if you think you'd like them and stop relying on others opinions. I have enjoyed many movies that critica and other people had negative things to say about. Most people just want to complain to be heard and feel important, when in fact them and their opinions mean nothing .

They are made to believe that they are defending the world against an assault from hell, but they soon realize they are sacrificial lambs for an agenda that is undeniably base and human. In effect, they are puppets for the most vulgar of human impulses and compelled to face the most "unnatural" results of such.

They have chemistry and there’s probably a plot twist beyond just the Gorge is the entrance to Hell or whatever, so I bet it’s worth watching.

People that are suppose to guard a gate that leads to hell but instead think with their little head and are trying to hook up 🤦♂️. Forced love plots can kill a movie that otherwise had a good concept. It would be like forcing a love story into saving private Ryan, it would have just ruined the movie.
Honestly, and the worst part, the desperate male fandom that buy into rubbish and cheerlead the female because they're simply lonely. This film just needs Sigourney as guidance and the dude like I am Legend. Done

Strange how people are fixated on only two people guarding the gate. There are numerous holes in earth that have been called gates to hell and nobody guards them.
Electric State, Mickey 17 and this are probably the only movies I have any motivation to buy tickets for.

I feel this is a chick flick dressed up as a supernatural action monster flick so guys get interested too. The premise is just so absurd. the doorway to hell would be guarded by a battalion or even a brigade of soldiers.

Both actors are competent and i liked them on some of the movies they were in. they are REALLY good in their roles and in this trailer alone you could feel the real chemistry between them. as usual, the plot is just so full of holes that i would have to turn off more of my brain than usual to enjoy this kind of action/love story/sci-fi flick. its a pity really. if they used just a fraction of the budget in paying actually competent writers, this would be good enough for IMAX actually, instead of just being immediately streamed.
